    I miss those storms. The thing is towns keep going, things don't stop. Travel outside towns goes down especially if the roads close but S Lake Tahoe just keeps plugging away. There were days we got 3 feet or more but I could still get in the Jeep and go to work. I never had chains just decent tires, snow would be over the bumper on the main roads through town and we just did what we had to do. Getting to the hotel I worked at 300 feet up the hill was interesting sometimes but nothing a 50mph running start didn't solve (red lights be damned).

    Roads are covered. Well, my quiet dead end is, I haven't been out yet.

    There were a few good bursts but only for a minute or three at a time. There's a nice .25" coating and it's snowing lightly. It looks like winter. Sort of.

    I'll be happy with the 2" I've been thinking for a few days now. If by some strange chance it's more I'm ok with that sorta. It will be nice to have a couple of winter type days though.

    It hasn't been colder but it's cold enough that you don't want to do stuff unless you're in the woods and out of the wind. I have a pile of parts to go on the new to me Range Rover and I keep putting it off because working on cars when it's cold sux. I'm hoping to see the days get back to the 50's soon unless we get snow then I'll go pay for shop time unless someone has a garage I can borrow for an afternoon.

    Running out of time to hit 6 days in a row. Yesterday was questionable here, it flaked all around the area and I thought I saw some fairy dust blowing in the wind so I called it the 5th day in a row but nothing today so far. It does look nice and convective to the WNW so maybe but it also looks like it's drying up coming down off the Catskills.

    Yeah but it's in N Carolina I think I saw a few flurries when that blob passed through earlier that gave many in the area a bit of snow today. It might have been dust blowing in the breeze but since I need it to continue a streak that's now at 5 days straight I'm going to say it snowed today.

    Better than this useless not quite cold and not warm enough to do outside stuff that we've been having for the last month. I have a whole bunch of car work to do so why don't you see if you can order up some of those 60's for me.

    Had a couple of rounds of snow and graupel showers since this morning. That .2 measurement at KDXR is pretty aggressive but I guess they could have had .175 more than me...

    I was going to come in and say that but I had to wipe the mud off my shoe first.

    I had a thicker dusting this morning than yesterday but not measurable. It looked nice for a little while but now it's melting off on all but the darkest shaded areas.

    And now I've had snow 3 days in a row. It just doesn't feel like winter though.

    Looks like I missed out on the first round of snow showers this afternoon, maybe one of the popcorn kernels will roll over me.

    Looks like some snow blossoming on radar to my WNW. The way the clouds settled in over the last 30 minutes sure makes it feel like it's about to snow. 37/27/ VRBL SW-W 3-7

    There was some random flakeage for a little while this afternoon, both ahead of and during the squall line passage. Yesterday a few times when the clouds thickened and the wind came up there were flakes too. At least it looked wintry for a second or three two days in a row.

    Yay No snow left at all other than a few tiny piles, plenty of mud though I only got a half inch. No, that's not what she said.

    The difference is they have real altitude whereas we have a few hundred feet of relief.
