  1. You hit 90? The warmest ambient station that I see in our area is 87 (I'm discounting the 93 as that can't be correct).
  2. No different than long range cold in winter, except many more posters in here go 6 to 12 when they see heat.
  3. Wow, nyc has trees around its station, never heard this mentioned before.
  4. Yeah, that is why I was confused a bit. I never noticed that either.
  5. 2 days, as it has lower 70s on Friday, then back to 90s for 2 days
  6. It's on Pivotal, Euro-AIFS. Is that the Euro AI? It has 70s on its 06z run, but I'm not sure if that is the AI model?
  7. Euro Ai hot M-W, then 70s by Thurs?
  8. Pretty sure my power never went out because of heat, storms yes, that's why I got a generac. Can't have my basement flood again.
  9. Agree. 94 or 100, zero difference, just like -5 or 0.
  10. Last year the Euro a few times showed all-time record highs (109) for Philly in mid-long range, only for Philly never to reach 100, so I'll hang my hat on that until it gets to day 3, then I'll believe it much more
  11. We typically don't start getting sustained warmth until mid late June. We typically don't get sustained cold until mid late December. We typically don't get sustained cooler/crisp weather until late Sept early Oct. We typically don't get sustained warmer days until late March/early April. Snow chances drop dramatically around March 20, 90 degree days are few after Sept 20....
  12. Agree. Other places not so much, but in the tri state we match up better with astronomical seasons overall.
  13. 89.2 so far for the high, getting close. I like when all the stations around me pretty much line up
  14. Their station is outside of the big buildings in the city anyway at Rutgers-gardens I believe ( I might be wrong though). I know for a fact it was running high like a decade ago but I think mgerb told me it was fixed. Since I moved away from Piscataway I don't pay as much attention to it anymore. edit: found an old pic (I think it looks a bit different now), but I think the station is in the same location as this
  15. Jacksonville is about 15 miles inland. Makes a huge difference.
  16. I don't really care about Canadian fires. If I have 5 or 10 days a year of haze, it doesn't bother me. If we get what we had a few years ago and that lasts for weeks, then we have an issue, otherwise its a nothing burger
  17. How much tree cover gain occurred globally between 2000 and 2020? The world experienced 130.9 million hectares (Mha) of tree cover gain between 2000 and 2020 1 — an area roughly the size of Peru. Despite losses in places, trees are increasing around the world. I happy to read that.
  18. It seems like as soon as late spring starts, the GFS spins up hurricanes in the very long range until mid-Fall then it switches to long range fantasy snowstorms.
  19. Only 4 of the last 15 weekends have been totally dry
