  1. Since YOU don't agree with an official temp, then it HAS to be wrong. Get off your high horse. Your name gives away your extreme bias. BTW, I hear those neighboring sites had foliage problems, so that explains it
  2. Crazy, 1.18" here. Had some heavy rain and thunder in the middle of the night with a cell
  3. yes, I feel like for the area they are both of the extremes. Average them and it equals most of the other places in the area.
  4. I'm talking about real stations, not personal ones. But, you even just pointed out, Newark at 100 was still the hottest. When a station is the hottest nearly 100% of the time and to pretend there isn't an issue is just plain silly. Many times this is how Sacrus' 90 degree days look. Every time EWR is at the top. Sometimes NYC is at the bottom, but more often than not it is in the mix with other stations. I can give 2 craps about NYC though since they don't care and same with Newark. The only people that care are the handful of posters here and elsewhere. If people have been pointing out issues for what 20 years now and they don't do anything, you just have to accept it and move on. 5. Yeah, that is why I find it more "interesting" in the summer. Varying by over an inch of rain within 3 miles fascinates me. I remember the one time where the park is for baseball thinking 100% my sons games would be rained out since it was a deluge at my house, only to not get the cancelled call and going to the field and the dirt was dry.
  6. To me taking the average of both stations is probably the best option. One gets a slight bump down, the other a slight bump up. Newark though is nearly always the hottest whereas NYC a lot of times, even though overgrown, still finishes temp wise in the middle. Funny thing is people as you said use it, but like no one on the forum lives there. They really should use other stations. Its been an issue with temps and snow measuring forever, but no one cares, so I don't either.
  7. I guess some find it more interesting than others. In my forum (nyc), there is a guy about 2.5-3 miles from me in my town, and sometimes our rain amounts are vastly different, once or twice by over 1". Even in winter, sometimes our amounts are different by an inch or two.
  8. 5 and 17 for Newark are both garbage. The average of them gets you to where the vast majority of the area are in.
  9. They are the hot spot about 99% of the time no matter what season, kind of like how NYC in summer is the cool spot.
  10. If that holds in a few hours might get interesting. 93/77 here
  11. Awesome thanks, I'll have to see if I can figure out mine.
  12. Can this tool be used to check personal sites or only ones that are registered or something?
  13. For my honeymoon, my wife and I went on a cruise in the caribbean and when pulling up to I think St Thomas, there was a random thunderstorm that produced a waterspout probably within a mile of the cruise ship. I was able to catch in on my camcorder (2003). It was awesome, but also a bit scary. I need to find that video and watch it again.
  14. The Raritan and lots of its tributaries are in my local area. There are several eagle nest cams around my area as well. I see them fairly often flying around and have had a few perched on trees in my yard over the years.
  15. .36" so far in the 10 minute downpour with thunder.
  16. Marriott Surf Club. I didn't notice anything different and seemed as safe as usual. Getting some rain with thunder now. KDIX working again.
  17. It was pretty intense. Several mornings were a bit cloudy so that helped.
