  1. Jacksonville is about 15 miles inland. Makes a huge difference.
  2. I don't really care about Canadian fires. If I have 5 or 10 days a year of haze, it doesn't bother me. If we get what we had a few years ago and that lasts for weeks, then we have an issue, otherwise its a nothing burger
  3. How much tree cover gain occurred globally between 2000 and 2020? The world experienced 130.9 million hectares (Mha) of tree cover gain between 2000 and 2020 1 — an area roughly the size of Peru. Despite losses in places, trees are increasing around the world. I happy to read that.
  4. It seems like as soon as late spring starts, the GFS spins up hurricanes in the very long range until mid-Fall then it switches to long range fantasy snowstorms.
  5. Only 4 of the last 15 weekends have been totally dry
  6. This afternoon might be decent, but this morning has sucked. .83"
  7. It wasn't like it was made up, but we all knew it would end with weeks of weather like this.
  8. .47" so far today. Had some heavy rain for about 15 minutes with that line.
  9. This year I've flicked more ticks off of myself than the previous 8 years combined so far when doing yardwork. I've had probably about 8 crawling on me so far. Thankfully zero bites. My dogs are on preventative meds, but I've flicked several off of them as well. It has been nuts.
  10. Depends on property size in suburbia.
  11. And the models forecast it all the time to no avail
  12. Amazing. Once again, you're like 3 miles away, and I only got like .03
  13. Models are too a lot of things, not just too snowy. Case in point, last year the gfs, accounting for the 3 runs per day, had philly over 100° more than 80x. The Euro was better, but it still had them over 100 numerous times. Philly reached 100 zero times last year. A nws met tracks this on a Philly board, so im not making it up. Too snowy. Too cold, but also yes, too hot. I know some can't handle that last one.
  14. We went through a great stretch that most living in our area never experienced and might never again. Some said that was the new norm too.
  15. There are a few stables around the area
  16. Without CC all ridges were perfect and we never missed storms. Obviously joking, but that is the way it reads all the time.
  17. I was riding a horse that was bucking. 87 here.
  18. When we had the thicker smoke, I was able to catch the sunspots with my cell phone. That was pretty awesome.
