Where was the warm pattern “is the warm pattern” last month? Do we measure climate change monthly? If the temp is .01 degree at CPK above normal for 1 month, is that proof of climate change? Or the opposite? Are there other places on earth experiencing cold temp anomalies this January? Is climate change reversed there based on your argument? I just want to understand if there is a difference anymore from temporal weather phenomenon and climate from a professional.

I have only been skunked twice in 15 years. The last 2 years were so bad I sold everything. Glad I did. Sad for the dudes who bought my equipment but they were sooo happy to have it. normally it snows a lot when I don’t have snowmobiles. When I have snowmobiles and it snows, a sled breaks. This winter is unusual.

To be fair there WAS a huge storm and many records (elsewhere). I trust him to say what needs to be said (all of it) at the right time, albeit with perhaps better timing this go around. He was 2 cycles early on the last deal IIRC.

Well, the bad winters had nothing or close to it at this point as well. There are more examples of bad winters up to mid Jan that stayed bad for the rest of the way than there are winters of 15-16.

I guess I expect 5 to 6 weeks of winter, counting the cold we just had as 2 weeks of the 5 or 6. i think we had 6 weeks of winter last year since December was a rout and most ofJanuary could not pop a storm.

I was in Perkinsville last winter. I imagine this winter is better than last. Of course it is, because I am not there!

I got out of snowmobiling this winter and I can tell you its a lot less stressful this year dealing with another potential bust snow season. So actually no panic here…but winter is boring AF without snow!
