  1. Wow, the Euro went from 12” at 12z yesterday to 1” for Orange County at 0z
  2. Oh it happened, Hudson Valley Weather did a nice breakdown of what was happening in central Orange County and parts of Dutchess as we downsloped and got caught in subsidence between the heavier bands. It was deplorable.
  3. Yes, 12.1" on 3/7/18 with a few other smaller events in the month bringing the monthly total to 22.0" which was well above normal but it could've been that much more above normal LOL
  4. Can we not talk about that one on 3/2/18....1.2" for me with that.
  5. 3.3” on the board and 3.6” on the grass next to said board. A light snow sleet mix now.
  6. Some amazing photos and videos posted out of there over the past couple of days.
  7. Nah. Looks like maybe some flurries might be moving in but we still have time before the legit snows move in.
  8. Well listen to this here Keyboard Kowboy! Don’t hate just because we all can’t be bald and beautiful! #AlwaysWearTheSunScreen
  9. I’m sure that’s not the only reason she shakes her head
  10. I knew we could count on Don to get us some numbers confirming that warm winters and warm periods in winters have been around for a while.
  11. I prefer Pops! My sons range from 27-22, we both can relate how the long haul sure goes quick, days are long but years are fast, that's for sure.
  12. We welcomed our first grandchild, a grandson, back in November, at least I was two years older then when I made my Old Man a grandfather LOL but I look forward to being the young grandfather and having a ton of fun. It really is amazing how quickly they change at that young age.
  13. For those who say we never had warm winters back in the day 1990 says hello for starters, that was an unforgettable winter and spring after what happened in the previous fall. https://www.jstor.org/stable/26196142?seq=1
  14. Agreed, a terrific post that sums it all up well but will likely get lost on the folks who should absorb it the most.
  15. As many of you know, I'm a sit back and let the weather happen kind of guy, so who knows where it will take us. That said, wasn't it pointed out by many who are talking about the potential big pattern change coming that a wintry event this weekend was to be considered a bonus as the pattern change comes after this weekend?
  16. It certainly does. I think the flip at the end, even for us, is inevitable but the damage will be done by then. Folks who don't clean up in time are sure to have a frozen mess on their hands as legit winter temps look to return afterwards.
  17. I didn't have to turn mine off, it didn't run on its own from Saturday morning until this morning on the downstairs zone, second floor zone didn't even call for heat this morning. Folks talking about how cold it feels this morning, which is still 10-12 above average, and already freaking out about this weekend. So yeah, what a good winter is is certainly relative.
  18. The last of the plowed glacial snow is still holding on for dear life here
