  1. The SPC has a pretty large hatched 30% risk area for Tuesday, stretching from DFW northward to Des Moines / Omaha.
  2. FWIW, the 00z GFS was definitely different (in a good way here, and a less bad way there) with the evolution of the pattern beyond mid-next week.
  3. Unfortunately, the 70*F+ streak at DFW is broken with only a high of 69*F today.
  4. It's unfortunate when a midnight temp in the 50s is the best you can do for warm weather in April...
  5. A ton of smoke/dust has blown in from the NW as sunset approaches, making for hazy skies.
  6. DFW managed to get to 70*F as of 4pm. Got one more day to go...
  7. Part of it has been the all the rug pulls (until the most recent 2 events), with the storm mode always trending messy as we get closer in, or extensive cloud cover / capping.
  8. Today had a Midnight high of 77*F or 78*F, so the question now is willl DFW manage to achieve 70*F tomorrow and Friday to continue its 70*F+ streak. That's what the forecast calls for now (highs of exactly 70*F), so we'll see...
  9. 94*F now. Currently ties for the warmest day of the year. It did help that the fog/stratus this morning stayed away from the Metroplex, so we've had full insolation all day.
  10. Actually, now that I've taken a deeper look, the record high of 89*F has been shattered for today.
  11. Overachieving big time. Currently 92*F at DFW. Forecast high was only 89*F.
  12. Wednesday - Friday will be a test to see if DFW can continue its 70*F+ streak. Forecasts highs right now are 71*F Wednesday, and 69*F Thursday/Friday. If we can survive these 3 days without breaking the streak, it should continue into at least mid-next week.
  13. Internal politics and personality clashes is the reason why that will never happen. It's why this forum, which in itself is already a conurbation of several long-defunct forums, has so many subforums for different regions.
  14. Since 1986, 2022 to-date is already well ahead every other year for Tornado Warning count in FWD's CWA.
  15. Hearing you guys complain about your Spring weather so far, I don't miss that *AT ALL*, lol. So far, this has been the perfect Spring here. Looks to stay that way in the forseeable future.
  16. DFW might have a shot at its 2nd 90*F+ high of the year today.
  17. Yeah, I saw that hail core pass over your area. We missed it just to the north.
  18. Based on the swath of wind reports (right now extending from just south of Dallas to Monroe, LA) last night's squall line meets the distance criteria for a derecho. However, I'm not seeing any high wind reports (75+ MPH gusts) within that swath, the other criteria.
