  1. On east side of Columbia, a nice 20-min light rain on Tuesday mid-evening after 9pm. Just enuf to water all the greenery. The 3am cell gave me about 1/3", nice start to July.
  2. Yep, nice 2x rainbow from that earlier cell. Potential Columbia incoming from the cell stretching from Gaither to Dayton, heading SE.
  3. 0.76" with first storm. Temp fell from 88 to 71.
  4. Decent boomer ongoing in Columbia.
  5. My gage has been lowballing lately so was happy to see today’s measurement.
  6. 0.91” in about 45 min timespan along with one of the best lightning bolt/thunderclap combos in some time.
  7. here too on east side of Columbia, about 1/4 - 1/3" in 20 mins.
  8. 0.41” imby Thursday on east side of Columbia. Not great, but not a total miss either.
  9. Philly area has already been hit twice today.
  10. Missed the rain but it sure is nice out. Warm, good breeze, limited sun.
  11. Kinda different to see an upper low dropping southward from the Great Lakes.
  12. Bring it on! 51 and rain at 1:30pm in Columbia.
  13. 32 Friday morning imby. No doubt it bottomed out pre-dawn before high clouds moved in. Was 34 at 6am, now 41 at 9am with partial sun.

  16. Gusty cell moving thru. Enuf heavy graupel to partially whiten mulch. Temp fell 44 to 41. Edit: with some thunder
  17. Looks like one needs to be generally N&E of a Pittsburgh-Pottstown-Allentown line, to be seriously in the game for mid-late week snow accums.
  18. the dreaded ''sun angles'' return .....
  19. Yeah, I was just looking at my IMBY records and it looks like 4 years ago today I was finishing Jan 23-24 with 25" IMBY.
  20. Nice fresh easterly breeze has picked up since sundown. Also, fast-moving low-level cloud deck streaming from the east. 43.9
  21. Coldest morning of the winter IMBY -- and really not all-that cold. So weekend system looks like it has trended more from a SW-to-NE Midwest track .... to a NE-to-ENE system tracking thru TN Valley > OH Valley .... with redevelopment off the MA/NE coast and with cold HP retreating off to the east from New England. Maybe some snowfall for the MD/WV highest elevations this weekend, but it would take a Hail Mary to get snow at the lower elevations with lowest temps currently progged for mid 30s adjacent to the ridges and points east.
