  1. Columbia 6:30am —winds have picked up with some decent gusts. Low clouds zipping in from the NW. Rain batters windows in wind gusts. Temp was 48 around 5am. Now 45 with gradual downward trend at present.
  2. Temp down from 40 to 38 between 6-8am. Too little, too late.
  3. Decent icing in Columbia. Heat pump fan outside froze up, meaning no heat, but it’s working again now.
  4. Just got back from Pikesville. When I left from there, my car windows were totally icy. It came right off, but still ....
  5. After being stuck between 35.3 and 35.5 all morning, temp at 3pm down to 33.5, not that it makes any difference in what's going on outside.
  6. A 30.40 barometer and Arctic high to the north. Still can’t seem to get below 35 yet in my backyard. Will have to rely on precip onset to pull down cold air aloft.
  7. A meek 35.5 IMBY (Columbia) altho I expect temps to fall a bit more. Was 69.8 yesterday for high temp.
  8. Impressive pre-dawn sky/clouds (6:30am, time-sensitive)
  9. Was at 69.8 yesterday before the cold front came thru. Columbia, Md. 6am temp at a disappointing 35.5 altho I don't think we are done yet before temps bottom out. Colder temps just to my north still pressing southward. The clouds slowed down the downward temp trend overnight. At 5am I was at 37, so some gradual "improvement" still going on with temps.
  10. 15.3 Sunday low. A bit chillier feeling than I thought it would be in the sun this afternoon with light winds.
  11. Looks like a locally heavy snow shower moving SE along a thin line extending roughly from York to Frederick.
  12. 14.2 appears to be my Tuesday morning low temp.
  13. Incoming squall/showshower, 20 degrees.
  14. Local text forecast added 20% of isolated snow showers after 3am Monday.
  15. About 1” with very lite snow continuing and temp 33.3. Looked outside at 2:30am and it was coming down nicely and starting to stick on grass and car tops with temp around 35-36.
  16. Snowing at a decent rate here in Columbia with 36°. Grass is slowly whitening. Cars now are just barely topped
  17. Imby I’ll consider 1-2” a good event. 1/2” - 1”: eh, but ok I’ll take it. < 1/2” = event fail A whitened ground the morning after: consolation prize
  18. LWX afternoon disco not bullish but also not discounting snow possibilities.
  19. Flying home from Puerto Rico today. Bring on the snow! ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
