Really nice dark vs light contrasting sky as storm moved into Columbia.

Off and on tropical downpours around Columbia.

Looks like some broken low storm-like clouds and distant thunder moving in FROM the NE. Some light rain fell for 15 mins but nothing unusual. Sun in western sky still slightly popping through broken overcast. Brighter to my west. Temps down to low 80s now after 90.9° today. 0.23” so far. And now, big healthy boom coming from my NW - N. Just checked radar. Big cell centered from Granite to Ellicott City located just to my north. These types of things often seem to fizzle/“miss/disappoint me. But I’m feeling it — for something in next 30-45 mins.

East Columbia: 0.23” imby in about 45 mins. Rain has stopped for now. Hi 90.9 current 87.3.

Noted that Balto. Inner Harbor had 105. IMBY in Coumbia, hi 98.3 (highest this year so far), low 78.5 -- one of the higher low temps for me; I don't keep track.

Was in western NY State last 4 days west of Corning, NY. Had 2.25” in Columbia from Mon thru Thursday.

Columbia imby: 0.12” overnight, 0.51” June total to date. 5:45am — 63° with some drizzle, light breeze coming from E-NE

Columbia: Friday 6/13/25 0.09” — heaviest rains were to my south

7:15pm — Blossoming cell locally seems to have eyes on Columbia. Light, steady rain began 15 mins ago. Much better coverage to my SW

Columbia: 0.21” for Sunday thru 8am Monday.

Columbia: 0.11” today as of 4pm.

Columbia: A weak 0.09” imby up thru midday.

12:30pm Saturday Columbia storm left lots of branches, twigs and leaves on road in my hood. Another 0.30” rainfall in 15-20 mins imby raising 2-day total to 2.25”.

1.45” with the 5/30 “tornadic” cell which traveled generally NE-ward near I-95 just east of Columbia, and then an additional 1/2” during the evening so 1.95” for Friday.

East side of Columbia imby 1.45” in about 1 hr. Gusty winds for about 20 seconds as the cell came up I-95. Raining lightly now.

Columbia 8pm: A bit more than I was expecting to see: 1.71” — with some light occasional drizzle Temp range today 56/51

For like the 9th weekend in a row I too will NOT be birdwatching, i.e., not viewing an O’s games.
