another .45" this afternoon, about .35" of that once again falling in just 10 minutes so now the total since 5/20 is 4.90". not bad. the sun is starting to break through now.

just checked: .45" in 10 minutes this morning. 4.45" since 5/20. and more on the way.

torrential on and off rain, thunder and lightning. it alternates between almost sunny to the street lights coming on—very dramatic weather this morning.

a total of 3.93" of rain from this system. the most rain I've seen in years.

3.51" so far of wonderful rain, although the brown patches are still somewhat brown. keep it coming. and the heat is on for a bit this afternoon because the house feels too damp.

made it almost all the way home from Winchester and now there’s a deluge outside—the roads are rivers. there was some debris on the road in Berryville so it must have gusted there decently.

incoming storm is warned for winds and quarter-size hail.

accumulating hail or sleet—roofs, cars, mulch, grass. 40/34, down from 45 last hour. and yesterday i drove through snow in the Poconos—it’s the most frozen precip i’ve seen in April in a long time.

drove back from Wilkes-Barre today—in the snow. just crazy after being in record setting high temps while i was in Connecticut last week.

under a severe storm warning. breezy with a white-out of rain, and some thunder and lightning. it got so dark we had to turn the lights back on. I hope this is it for me. i do not want severe wx. -

trying to figure out if i need to cancel an early evening gathering at church—is the line of rain and possibly a few storms in the Eastern Panhandle right now likely to be all there is in our tornado watch box, or is there more behind it?

beautiful sunny day, high of 71, low humidity, and finally i don’t have to drill dinner in the dark.

a decently warm sunny day and some thunder rumbles this evening as the line passed by.

that line wasn't as impressive in the flesh as it looked on radar. but it had some deep thunder rolls and 15 minutes of good rain.
