not clskinsfan but here in the EP: the Hampton Inn just outside town has good reviews, and you can walk to restaurants and a grocery store. we've stayed in Hilton Home2 Suites elsewhere and they have kitchens. it's in the same shopping center as the Hampton Inn. there's an inn in town and you can walk to restaurants and our locally-sourced grocery store but I don't know what will actually open on Sunday/Monday. but there will be great photo ops of the old part of town. my husband is recovering from emergency surgery (a great Christmas!! not) and is doing well, so we can't have guests right now. and of course the storm could shift away from us too.

I needed some stuff from Costco and it was much more crowded than usual. and grocery pick up slots for tomorrow are selling out early. and dinner is Costco beef brisket burnt ends. pretty good.

i got 34". so it's definitely not accurate.

i'm going to shut all the blinds and curtains as soon as it starts because it will melt eventually and so the start of any storm is the end of any enjoyment. and yes I am referencing a real post that was made in this community before a previous big snow.

100% on the weather sisters. the old DC-ish crew from when I lived in DC. my "new" I-81 buddies. and a few people from outside the region who still stop by because they also remember the one giant forum days. this is my 21st year with this crazy community.

phone wx alert about an hour ago woke us up, then the squall woke us up when the power briefly went out. everything is covered. it was pretty impressive with nearly whiteout conditions.

high of 52 a few hours ago, now 47. Martinsburg airport gusted to 56 last hour and yes, the power did flicker. i hate this stupid, useless wind.

we had a little sleet, then a little freezing rain, and then some spotty rain, and now it's just cold and dry. I'm happy not to have the ice.

it's been flurrying for a few hours and now there is a burst of light snow. the cats had forgotten about snow and are in the windows investigating.
