Yeah no shit, that was quick. We went from 49F down to 36F just while we were eating dinner by the fire. Really windy and light snow shower right now. Have retreated to the hot tent with wood stove going.

Camp is up! Dry slot worked in our favor so just some light mist and everything is still dry. 60F up here right now. Won't be using the tent stove tonight. Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk

Holy shit we're driving up 270 right now and it's friggen miserable. Heavy heavy rain. Camp is gonna be an underwater mud pit. Looks like it might become more spotty in another hour or two...hopefully.

G is packed up and ready to leave tomorrow morning. I really hope we can get our tent set up before the heavy rain moves in. GFS really likes the upslope snow on sat-mon.

Hope springs eternal. Just thinking out loud...been here 18yrs now and I don't think we've ever had a white Christmas. 2009 was close but it was a sloppy foggy mess by Christmas. We were snowshoe backpacking at the Dolly Sods so it was plenty cold and snowy there but not back here at home in Calvert. One day...

GFS done gone bowling. Is that a noreaster? I've heard tell about those sort of storms from the old timers but haven't experienced one in recent years. JB also just posted about the Dec 8-15 period. Might as well stick a fork in it.
