    Always seems like in mid-Septemberish we get a week or cooler cloudy wet weather. I time it every year to plant my grass seed. I've always assumed it's that the front path has finally sunk down to our latitude.

    Bump that. It was pouring on us as we were packing up camp this morning. Luckily the tent dried in about 30 seconds once we.got home and unrolled it on our driveway lol.

    Back in Calvert...looks more like fall down here than up in Garrett county. Wilty trees, yellow leaves falling every which way. Doesn't feel very fall like down here though.

    Thunderstorm about to hit us on meadow mtn. Really breezy now and temp down to about 70F. Weekend turned out dry til now kinda bummed because that means the canvas tent gets soaked and I'm going to have to roll it up wet tomorrow morning. Could be worse though.

    3037ft according to my GPS. I must've transposed 3300 and 3030 in my brain. That's the main reason we bought the land...snowshoeing and a cozy log cabin with the wood stove going during boss storms. 77F right now, was randomly kinda humid mid afternoon. Supposed to be tstorms tonight and tomorrow.

    I went to the location for our property on the website and it seems to more or less match Onx. Maybe the listing was being generous with the height, I never bothered to confirm the exact value but I guess I will do that this weekend. I like the Onx map because you can view property boundaries in conjunction with your exact GPS location which is nice because it's a large property and sometimes I don't know where I am in the forest.

    According to my topo map it definitely peaks above 3k on our property. I'll measure the high point with my phone gps this weekend and confirm. It could be off but we'll see.

    It was unexpectedly hot here today. Low dewps but the wind and sun made it feel like a furnace. Also surprised at how fast we are all of a sudden dry as a bone. Trees and shrubs are really suffering, especially those planted in the past year or two. Leaves are really falling now. Leaving for Bittinger to spend the weekend camping on the mountain property tomorrow morning after rush hour. Temp here is 85 now vs 70 in Bittinger woo hoo. And I'm sure it's even cooler than that on top of meadow mountain 3300ft (where we are located)

    What a bunch of horseshit. Line collapsed and then a new one flared right to my east basically along the entire bay. So far more dead leaves have fallen than raindrops. HRRR might win the day on this one. Hopefully that line of showers at least keeps its shit together.

    I was confused also, he seemed to sort of contradict himself, at least to me. But the way it was written I was able to interpret it as bullish for cold and snow this winter with PV appearances....so I'm taking it as gospel at least til December when I capitulate and make my way to The Panic Room.
