You ever watch the "extended" part of your local forecast and wait to see if you had a big snowflake in any of the days? Cause that meant heavy snow. Ah the good ole days living in Michigan.

My dad and I used to watch the weather channel for hours at a time. They had the 7day forecast on the 20s after the hour, I always watched that shit for the bright white snow on the map because that meant heavy snow.

JB is obviously all over the rest of this month but thinks a warm up is in store for February. I'd be ok with that.

Not much snow down here, maybe 1.5" if I'm being generous. Enough to coat what's left of the existing snow until it all melts this weekend.

I just lost my last large loblolly pine tree last night, made a hell of a racket and snapped clean off at the bottom. So now that I've lost every single large tree that I cared about I'm game for more snow, can't do much more damage than has already been done. I'm gonna trust in the old Canadian. They know snow up there.

Here's a whole row of evergreens basically demolished. Those Leeland Cypress don't do well in snow anyway.

Wife and I just got back from a 2mi snowshoe around the area and it's devastation for conifer trees. Almost every single tree is very damaged or blown over. A guy down the street has/had a row of 12x 30ft+ cypress trees and all except one are completely taken down. Even white pines were heavily damaged, one of mine basically broke in half. Loblolly pines lost a ton of branches. Holly trees are all completely bent or broken. Tree damage here is much worse than 09-10, hurricane Irene, 2016 blizzard, 2012 derecho or any other storm we've had since at least 2004.

JB thinks there's blizzard potential and that it's going to be a cold storm. No indication on bullseye though.
