  1. Monday "storm". Calvert county jack..if you can call 2" a "jack". These are hard times.
  2. Things started to turn as soon as @GATECH capitulated and gave in to the SER.
  3. Well fuck. Now we have @psuhoffman praising Joe Bastardi and @Maestrobjwa trying to walk @psuhoffman back off the ledge. This winter is truly a catastrophe.
  4. Stuck in SoMD looking at static pics on the game cam. There's even snow on the ground out there. Don't cry for me Meadow Mountain. I just realized, Citizen Kane died an unhappy man when all he wanted was his little wooden sled. He must've lived in the MA as well.
  5. Sir we have detected a massive ridge coming out of hyperspace...
  6. User name checks out. The big ones are sniffed out early.
  7. 40F and moderate rain. What a pathetic winter.
  8. I've posted multiple times on this board and also on the WB board that we (the 95 corridor) were living through a golden period for monster storms as the Atlantic warmed and there was still cold air around. Eventually I said that the Atlantic would get too warm and the east coast would hardly get any storms at all (of the snow type). So far I'm right.
  9. This is one of the worst storm threads ever. We all know it's an abomination. It's gonna snow at tug hill....maybe. There's some "The Art of War" saying about how you can wish the weather 6 ways to Sunday but you have to deal with reality, our reality is that my petunias are already growing and it's only late January.
  10. At that range in order for it to be in play for us on the GFS the low needs to be crossing the everglades.
  11. Bwahahaha the DC snow hole large and in charge. I'm going to Meadow mountain on the weekend of 2/4. Hopefully the 15" of snow is legit.
  12. Only in the tales that humans tell does the SE ridge lose in the end.
  13. Don't be too stressed, in a few years winters will be too hot for even chickweed to survive. Saguaro cactus will be the new invasive species in the garden.
  14. Don't sweat it. GFS has the 300hr storm in play. The storm(4) after the storm(3) after the storm(2) after the storm(1). Crocuses will wither at the threat.
  15. Forsythias at the top of my driveway are in bloom as of this morning. Crab grass won't be far behind. Guess I better sharpen the mower blade.
  16. That's what I did this year. Unfortunately it hasn't seen a flake of snow yet so it hasn't made any difference.
  17. It's bad enough to have to sort out differences between the various crap models but we also have to deal with biases between different companies interpreting the same data from each individual model? There's no rest from the onslaught in this profession.
  18. I don't understand this. The WB version of that map shows me with like 4" of snow but TT shows 20" of snow. Does WB not include sleet and TT does? Calvert county getting 16" of sleet? I'll take the 35" for Garret County though.
  19. That's not too abnormal, you'll often see them during a stretch of mild winter weather. Now if you see a cecropia moth flying in to your porch light then it's another story...
