If I were you I'd break out the Bible or something. The only reason for this cutoff that I can think of is biblical. I hope for your sake eventually the moisture overcomes the forcefield.

On my street in Bloomingdale for some crazy reason the street trees are sycamore. I can't think of a worse city street tree than sycamore other than tulip trees...which they're actually planting as new trees as well! Like WTF, tulip trees are one of the largest trees east of the Continental dive...second maybe only to...sycamore. Who is in charge of these decisions!?

Wild to watch the radar loop, rain keeps moving north but just disappears along that NE running line all throughout the region. Somebody must've pissed off the rain gods at some point.

Crazy looking at the NW edge of the precip, it looks like it's running into a forcefield and just refusing to move north. Hate that for them...but I'll take the rain in the SE!

SoMD and Eastern shore were epicenter of the drought last year but that definitely seems to have shifted. I'm not complaining, my caterpillars don't do well in drought due to low leaf water content. Earlier I thought you might get a good rain band into Germantown but it seems to be drying up as it reaches you. Hopefully you get something out of this!

Up in DC, just started light rain about 30mins ago. Looking at the home cam back in Calvert it's been raining raining moderately there all morning. Definitely good rain for the plants.

Up at the city house I saw 81F on the car thermometer on the way to Trader Joe's today. Have company over for dinner and turned the AC on to keep it comfortable inside...first time of the year for the city house.

I don't buy it. Maybe the stratwarm will shock the system (haha) and change the pattern but I'm skeptical. I think we need Yellowstone to erupt to get us out of this dry pattern.

I think we've reached the sun angle whereas as long as it isn't too windy it feels warm outside regardless of the actual air temp. I approve.

DOGE must've known. We don't need any of that NOAA overhead apparently. Hopefully the new AI will forecast at least 60" storms for us perennially at d10. Dude I was just at my piano teacher's house in the pax river side of Calvert and my car thermometer said 76F when I left her house. 7mi east on the bay side at my house it is 61F, 15 degrees colder!! Went from AC to heated seats during the ride home.

Fuck the marine flow this year. It's been brutal. Driving home from work going through Prince Frederick it was 68F and sunny. 3mi to the east at my house it's cloudy and 57F.

I finally heard my first ones last week, was expecting them today but so far nothing. Haven't heard any wood frogs yet either.

I hope you're right. I'm looking at the southern edge of the line to the west disintegrate over the mountains though. Maybe it redevelops after it gets past the Appalachians but it's not very inspiring to me at the moment.

I'm not at all impressed by the radar. We never seem to get significant rain from basic front passages so I'm taking the under unless something big shows up on radar.
