If you're a WB subscriber JD did a number of good posts on the PDO this year and you can probably go back and find them. Going off memory I think the general theme was another 4-7yrs before it could be expected to flip.

WSW for the cabin. I'll have to enjoy it from remote camera this go around though. Heading out there for Christmas, hopefully there's snow. Would be my first white Xmas in 20yrs I believe. -
Well my geraniums are still hanging on, I guess if they can make it another couple weeks then I'll have at least saved some money and effort come spring not having to plant new ones.

Dude you could say that for pretty much every snow map posted over the past 5yrs. I'd rather look at fantasy snow maps knowing they'll never come to fruition vs. endless weeks of zonal flow maps with no snow. It all ends up the same either way.

After the abomination of the past three winters I'm well past the DGAF stage. Even seeing a few flurries is higher than my bar at this point.

The electric + septic was close to $100k. Unfortunately the county required it to be underground which means about half a mile of trenching through rock from the nearest utility pole. Septic was similar rock hammering. But it's done now so that's good and it nice not to have to worry about falling trees taking down my lines. Electric panel is powered up but only the propane furnace is energized. Well and septic are complete but the well pump hasn't been turned on so we've just been using a portajohn and bringing water with us. In January they should get all that stuff completed.

22F and moderate snow falling....at Detroit Metro airport as we land right now.

Cold blustery 40F down here. Feels like snow, and the radar shows precip directly overhead but none of it appears to be reaching the ground. Been that way all morning.

The problem is the snow map matches pretty close to the drought map. So it's believable. At least until the Siberian Traps reawaken.

I give JB a hard time but I've been paying for WB for years and pretty faithfully watch his videos. Unlike most of the dildo mets on Twitter JB is usually pretty clear and concise at explaining things and is entertaining to listen to. His AccuWeather background clearly helps his presentation. And you gotta respect how much he loves weather despite his weenie cold bias which he openly admits these days.
