  1. If my memory serves me (and it may not) waves like this are usually 3 to 5 inch events (higher in the higher spots).. So we get two, which would net 6 to 10 inches (maybe?).. I would think. A long while ago in the early 90s (yep..) I remember tracking one of something like this and it was a 3 to 6 inch event .. I was an intern at the Climate Analysis Center at the time... but it quickly moved through. So two, seems like a double of the same thing. On to the model analysis!
  2. Remember it very well! Sleet bomb it was! Looked like sand when the salt and sand was on the sleet. Nasty stuff.
  3. Snow is melting so fast. We have had OK rates off and on. Measured a while back and had 2 inches. Measured again and can see it has compacted and melted. Stuck a 2 inches. Snowed a lot more than 2 inches by now.
  4. Snow slowed and flakes got smaller but I measured a solid 2 inches so far
  5. Snow covering everything. Nice big flakes. Super wet snow.
  6. Watching Reed trimmer in SC with heavy snow! Crazy.
  7. Eeeeh! Three Globals advertising ice event! I am sure we will see some changes! Not looking good though
  8. I was just discussing this with a buddy of mine since we are in the same week!
  9. So we went from Arctic Blast to Bust.. As I mentioned earlier.. and would the Ridge mean a warming trend? Sheesh!
  10. LOL! I know it will be cold, I just had an idea it would be a bit colder!
  11. I think the Euro Ensembles are back for Sunday? Anyone care to confirm?
  12. I cannot believe I am waking up to the 4th day in a row with snow falling! That is cool. Looks like 0.2" fell in these snow bands! Wow!
  13. Where can we get the Euro Ens? I know they come out in about an hour, just wondering which services have them and the costs..
  14. I was thinking the same thing! The whole set up for wave trains and Arctic air kind of fizzled out (to a degree (or maybe 20 degrees - LOL)!
  15. Never really got in the fun out here in Purcellville this morning. Started hearing dripping and see we shot up to 35 degrees! The melt is on!
