  1. No flakes yet but the town and state are out prepping the roads hard. It amazes me how well Mass preps compared to RI.
  2. I always liked how it could be raining on Rt 102/117 intersection and snowing at the top of Waterman Hill. Cool little microclimate spots in Coventry, West Greenwich, Scituate, etc.
  3. Was expecting upper 20s. Was not expecting a dusting of snow on all surfaces. Nice surprise to wake up to.
  4. This was the report from K yesterday as well despite 6-8" of fresh snow on the ridge. They also were not able to get going until about 10am due to icing. Think our first day will be next Friday night.
  5. We do but they still get on. In RI NexGuard worked but in Amherst we found them everywhere in the house and on us. They would ride him in the house then come off. The old behind the neck Frontline is about all that work. We don't find them on him or in the house but we will see them crawling on him when they first get on.
  6. The rain has really brought them out here. The dog and I ended a walk after 15 minutes last week on a heavy trafficed trail due to ticks. Luckily he is partly white, I ended up taking over 20 of them off him (non were in yet) and 3 off me. Nightmarish
  7. Yes, had a wicked hook to it on radar and still does. Coming up Narragansett Bay now.
  8. Hopefully the wind doesn't turn the bubbles into kites. Can definitely see it starting as snow at that elevation.
  9. I always thought the best early season set up in New England would be at the Lincoln Peak side of Sugarbush. Heaven's Gate serves about 1,400' of vert and the summit is just under 4,000'. Organgrinder (more of an intermediate trail) and Ripcord would be better than any other early season offerings. Just wonder if they could download on Super Bravo.
  10. Was awesome to see the back side of the storm from campus, quite the self. Nadda on campus but puddles at the rotary.
  11. White roofs and crusty windows on the truck. Love the new automatic starter but miss the manual transmission.
  12. Yes. I think K starts early Thursday morning and opens Friday. Looks like SR could start Tues-Weds.
  13. NWS mentioned it on FB a few hours ago and said straight line winds.
  14. Yes, the section past Amherst to Belchertown was a fun 25-30mph commute home instead of ~50-60. The new rotary at the north end of UMass had an 18" pond around it around 3pm.
  15. The wife has been talking about getting back there for the past 4 years and now she finally has an A/T set up to have fun in the basin area. Going to have to suck it up and make the drive up there this winter.
  16. I'm all set with this one. I would love some downed trees for firewood next year but... 1. It's my name and hear it enough. 2. Just spent a lot of time getting water from the in-laws basement this weekend. All set with them getting more rain.
  17. 47* with windows open and loving it. Will be chilly fishing on the paddleboard in the hills tomorrow morning.
  18. I'm happy if we don't get anymore. 0.68" and the grass seed didn't wash out.
  19. Let them stick to Tree House so the rotating Brewmaster Jack DIPA is easy to find. They have been killing it lately.
  20. Jay Peak will be using this as advertising for their "cloud" soon.
