  1. Definitely going to have to put more seed down towards the end of the month with more starter/weed prevent. Also going with a clover lawn infront of the wall where the small pines are and the upper right corner near the road. Next project will be all crushed stone on the far side of the driveway for my other parking spot and around our raised veggie beds (not pictured). March was all about grub-ex and moss control (raked a lot of dead grubs and moss out) then aerated and two apps of fert given how poor and compacted the soil was.
  2. I did. It is not a broad spectrum pre-m though so it depends on the types of weeds you have.
  3. Depends on how thick/thin the lawn is imo. Fertilizing in spring also encourages weed growth so given how thin my lawn is I also went with Scotts Starter w/ Weed Preventer. Has a pre-emergent that also allows new grass seed to grow. If it is well established I would throw down a fertilizer but make sure it doesn't have a pre-emergent in it.
  4. Slow and steady. When we bought it to so far this year. Overseeded the thin spots and hoping they fill in a bit.
  5. No real cold weather coming in. Check your soil temps. I like low 50s, just takes longer to germinate. I'd rather go early and have less germination but lasting than later in spring and have it all burn up in July.
  6. Already did a moss treatment and overseeded a ton yesterday. I'm actually surprised with how much I'm starting with this spring and how green it is.
  7. LOVE the prancing moose emblem. Volvos > Subarus in the snow after my wife and I have owned one of each. Wouldn't mind a V90 with a 3" lift on it one day for a winter whip lol
  8. I was shocked to see them listing lower liftline as open with snowmaking. I know they have done it before but I didn't think they did it often.
  9. So what exactly is an "unblocked" flow? Still learning my upslope aside from humidity, Froude, etc.

  10. Catamount really is an under rated area. I remember "Off Stage" being an amazing mogul run similar to Bear Trap at Mount Snow. Catapult is no joke. Looking forward to trying to ski their new terrain this year. It's like Sundown adding Satan's Stairway X2.
  11. South side of Bare and Hancock are where it is at. Amazing stunted trees, fire roads, and thin woods. Bare is super steep, Hancock is more intermediate/advanced. You can get about 500 vertical feet in on both.

  12. Can typically only skin/ski the Holyoke Range a couple days a year. Might be able to come Monday afternoon.
  13. "Wind" being the key at Jay - they have no problem shutting the tram and Freezer down for "wind" during slow midweeks in January and February. Is it warranted sometimes - sure. But it's an easy excuse.
  14. A t-bar at Jay would be nice so there is some way of skiing that place when there is wind or crowds are low.
  15. Best of luck! You'll be back! (I thought hip replacements were anti-bump surgery???)
  16. Seriously - last November was nuts if you were up for earning turns. Magic was incredible prior to Thanksgiving.
  17. Love it. Had a pass there the past 5 years. If you havent tried it get there. We have turned the mountain into one big glade lol
  18. Early season was pretty incredible last year. Friend's and I skinned Magic on November 21st after about 14". Since my wife and I are expecting this month and will have less time for skiing I'm sure it will be a historically snowy winter. Heck, there are trees in the Holyoke Range already changing color. You're all welcome.
