  1. I have zero knowledge on ice storms but found this very easy to comprehend. Interesting conclusions on the lower dew points, and falling at night increasing accretion. https://www.weather.gov/media/box/science/December_2008_Ice_Storm.pdf
  2. $5 you can't jump the car into the Quabbin off 202!
  3. I'd agree. Hope you have a wood stove or something. One plus is afterwards is "warm" and not -10 wind chills.
  4. Questionable sunset time. Going to need a newspaper with today's date on it too. lol
  5. Moderate snow now and radar is improving. Ride it out.
  6. 24*, sand falling from the sky, everything white again. No complaints given the way things started 2 weeks ago.
  7. Looking a bit juicer and organized on radar than the models depicted.
  8. We tried to tell em. Am I americanwx'ing correctly yet?
  9. Juicer west of Boston, SVT and NH. Mixing to the pike most of the duration.
  10. Didn't 14-16" a couple Monday nights ago get an advisory? lol
  11. Just looked at the 12z HRRR. Thing has been $ so far this year. Caught the mix line and timing very well as well as banding areas in the 12-2 storm (although a lot more than was modeled) and did well with the two smaller events. I'll ride it.
  12. You are an Instagram meteorologist, shouldn't you be able to find them?
  13. Winds are roaring. Grill rolled a few feet on the deck.
  14. Solid 5-6" still covering the front yard. The pack is on to Cincinnati.
  15. Bands will set up 30-50 miles NW as always. Hippy Valley steals Tolland Le Massif's T-1"
  16. South side of Bare and Hancock are where it is at. Amazing stunted trees, fire roads, and thin woods. Bare is super steep, Hancock is more intermediate/advanced. You can get about 500 vertical feet in on both.

  17. Hahaha! Same thing at Toby thus my respect for it. Haven't been to Lincoln yet.
  18. Can see everything crystal clear. Wow. Is Mount Toby in second because the 29' is fire tower? lol
  19. 38*. HRRR did well with banding last week, maybe again? Also multiply totals by 2.79 lol
  20. It could have been January of 2017 then. We had 20" at the house and skied Berkshire East after they got 22". All fell during the day time I remember that much about it.
  21. Our biggest since moving here. Prior to this I believe it was December 2016 we got 20" in Amherst from a single event.
