  1. Jay Peak claiming they only lost 10 trails and are "expecting a foot by tomorrow morning". Jay's reporting is the worst but this winter it wouldn't surprise me if they did get 12" tonight.
  2. The main drain goes out that side but goes on a 45* angle across the lawn to get to the septic. Which is about 40' away from this spot. Good catch. I just ran out and looked and those are actually just two cracks. No patch. Had me worried for a second. Water comes in from the back right so not related. It was just pumped in July and passed title 5 prior to us closing on it.
  3. Nope. All drain to the sides. All I can think of is that is where the oil tank is in the basement but no idea why that would lead to a warm spot.
  4. Woke up to a coating. But what is this spot? New to home ownership. Dryer vent is on the other side and septic is on the other side of the lawn.
  5. 34* and pouring with the occasional pinger mixed in.
  6. Interesting to see what happens . 37* here now. Was 42* in town just a few hours ago. Was pinging the whole 2 hours we were hiking Bare and Hitchcock today.
  7. The 8-10" Magic got up high on Tuesday skied pretty well. They have so much snow they are opening Saturday with 30+ trails.
  8. They were discussing it on the SportsHub this morning. Apparently limiting folks to 1/8 worth to keep lines moving. Not sure how that works with edibles though.
  9. Unfortunately they are open tomorrow and aren't allowing skinning yet. Will probably hit Magic. There are "delivery services" in Maine. I know outside of Portland you leave $50 in a lobster trap or mailbox overnight and wake up to a vacuum sealed 1/8th. It's out in the open and on FB. Surprised they have not attempted to stop it yet.
  10. Radar in southern VT just keeps filling in. Guess I will just have to ski somewhere tomorrow.
  11. It lasted for all of 20 minutes. Rained all night, woke up to pingers around 5:30. Ended up with a solid coating of snow on everything. Over for now. Could clearly see blue dots on the hills around town and rain around Rt 9, 202, etc.
  12. Rained and sleet all night. Now absolutely pounding 2" per hour stuff to end it. Awesome to see.
  13. For this one the Pike mirrors what 95 in RI is for the rain-snow line.
  14. I've heard of a rusty one but not a frozen one.
  15. Around 4:30 we had an inch that is now gone and a crusty mess remains. Amherst has a 2 hour delay so I assume up Rt 9 they might have actually got that 3-4" BOX predicted.
  16. Magic Mt. Spent the weekend skinning and skiing there. Big base everywhere (except a couple trails). Going to check the Thunderbolt tomorrow.
  17. Amazing what 2-3" of frozen cement and 6" on top can lead to.
  18. Just under 9" last night. Should have shoveled then, it was down to about 5" of absolute cement this morning due to the mixed bag.
  19. Going to be close. Almost 8" here since 6:45 and still going strong.
  20. Good. Day before a week off I hope they call it so I can just drive to VT early.
  21. 2" since the start around 6:45. Little concerned about the slot in between the bands pushing north. Area around the pike south to the MA/CT border looks to be in a lull.
