Same exact story down here. Half the town is without power due to multiple accidents/poles taken out. Schools had a scheduled early release today, and they still sent the busses out at 7-8 even though plows hadn't been out.

Checked the radar after the midnight obs and thought it'd be over around 2. Had 4.2" then and eyeballing 5.5" now. Looks like a few more hours to go. Time for a nap.

I was gonna say, I'm guilty of doing the same. Even at night, if I see the tiniest of echoes on radar, the spotlight goes on and I watch. Some say that's diligence and commitment, some say it's a triple bun salute.

On consumption or investment? Just got mine installed, 30 panels. If it's sunny, I'm producing more than my household consumes, even this time of year, with me running heat pumps. Overcast, not so much. We're also facing near due south with almost no shade, so that helps. Investment wise I'm looking at a 5 year return at best, 7 at worst for everything (solar and pumps). Best part of the pumps will be the cooling. Stoked. 15/6°F

I can imagine...it's that "naked rat haggard" look. We've also increased protein when their molting though not sure how much it helps. Hopefully the others let her stay in the middle on the roost.
