  1. 3-4 inches per hour is the juiced up STJ doing its work, we see these in stronger el ninos and la ninas that come right after stronger el ninos. Hopefully we see more of these going forward this season (and maybe next season too, since la ninas after el ninos are very snowy.)
  2. la ninas are a lot better than this Chris ;-) remember 95-96 and 10-11?
  3. Did you get 4 inches an hour for 2 hours?! That's absolutely amazing. In the Southern Poconos, it was 3 inches an hour and a foot or so of snow.
  4. sounds about right, it snowed here from 4 PM to 8 PM and stuck to cartops and rooftops
  5. la ninas after el ninos are usually the best, also remember 10-11
  6. I wouldn't say 97-98 was a failed el nino, it was way too much of an el nino.
  7. la ninas after el ninos are much better. Unless we get a HECS like we got in 82-83 and 15-16, count on next winter being better than this one.
  8. It was nice to see a few hours of snow on the south shore (it snowed from 4 PM to 8 PM here) and see car tops and roof tops get covered.
  9. It's time to go after the deniers and skeptics and start suing them. If they are the reason we are seeing so much inaction, it's time for them to be the ones to pay for all the climate disasters we're having. If it gets them to shut up-- GREAT. But we can't just allow them to say and do whatever they want. They need to be silenced. And before anyone says anything, I don't give a sh1t about the first amendment any more than I do about the second. Survival is at stake here.
  10. Just like you're in abject denial of climate change, eh Tacoman?
  11. He somehow thinks that for him to get a lot of snow in Albuquerque the east coast needs to get little or no snow.
  12. I get what you're saying, you're saying there is no such thing as a super. That all high end el ninos should be grouped together.
  13. wow both 2007 and 2018 were historic. in 2007 we had historic 70s heat in January and in 2018 we went from single digit cold in January to near 80 degree historic heat in February and then to historic snow and cold in March and April! and of course this is the day of the historic January 1996 blizzard!
  14. and then the much more favorable pattern which all the long range forecasters were talking about commences in early February?
