  1. Went through our family. My 36 year old wife who is a kick boxer was in bed for 12 days and lost 12 pounds. In the 15 years I've known her, I've never seen her sick like that. 3 out of my 4 kids got it but it was mild. The scary part was waiting to see what it would do to them. I quarantined in my room initially as I brought it home from school(I'm a teacher), but with a family or 4 it's difficult to mitigate but i tried. In retrospect, I should have gotten a hotel room. My wife is stubborn and kept walking in our room thinking a mask would help. When the viral load is that high, a cloth mask is gonna do anything FYI. It's like walking into a hospital when someone's been sick for days in a bedroom. I'm a firm believer that the degree to how sick you get is the viral load you get exposed to. What makes this difficult and unpredictable is how some get exposed to a lot and don't get sick. It's definitely the exception though. I was exposed mildly at school and had a mild case of it. My wife got a mega dose and was a long hauler. My kids got what most kids are getting; tired for a day or two and a slight fever. She took it likely and thought everyone was overreacting. Now she's yelling from the roof top to be cautious. Sound familiar??
  2. One thing I've witnessed as a teacher for over 20 years is a real lack of perseverance in my students. It didn't take a rocket scientist to see that this would extrapolate into a society that is "done with it" or " If that’s selfish then so be it, but having to work from home is already pretty tough isolation wise. Anymore I think would be overwhelming mentally". Could you imagine if we had this mentality during WW2.....
  3. Should we be concerned with the 12Z EPS pulling back on some of the cold coming?? Not sure if it's just noise, or if there's more to it.
  4. For those of us that can't see it, is there sarcasm attached to it??
  5. Numbers were bad today, relatively speaking, and we had many states not report. Not good.
  6. What's happening in the Bering Sea currently has to be getting some people excited.
  7. With that much latent heat release, there's gonna need to be a serious feed of dry air. Without the traditional antecedent airmass for an ice storm, this has the making of a quick change and a lot of hype.
  8. This is it fella's! Mide as well Lock it in. I've been dreaming of this scenario since I was 5.
  9. You guys think this could reach Toledo?
  10. It’s really trying hard to creep up the western side of Ohio!
  11. I'm curious if this storm has a few more surprises up it's sleeve?? If Minnesota can pull of something with 24 hours, maybe Western Ohio can do the same?? #Christmas Miracle
  12. The 500MB trough keeps sinking deeper and further SW with Each Run. Anyone else seeing this??
  13. True desperation. Plus, it's snow weannies time of the year
  14. One of our Local Mets in Toledo is definitely buying into the trends. He doesn't buy into hype either!
  15. Yes. Need that boost to keep going so those further west in the sub can cash in on a little Christmas miracle
  16. 12Z Nam is a step in the right direction with the Secondary Low development on the front. Tick west almost to Toledo now.
