  1. I agree. This next wave won't(shouldn't) come with the sense of doom that the others have now that the most vulnerable are more protected. However, it will be the first real test.
  2. I want to be optimistic but there is something going on in Southern Michigan with cases. I work in a public school and we are dealing with issues we haven't seen all pandemic with cases. Not sure if it's a variant or what, but it seems way more contagious.
  3. I guess the only thing i'd argue is totally different antecedent conditions both on the surface and in the atmosphere, but your point is taken.
  4. I really wish I could live through something like that. Watching this helps me understand why my dad said it poured rain and stormed in NW Ohio prior to the snow. I can see the warm tongue do the reach around in this corner of the state the night before. He seems to remember 2 inches of ice under the snow.
  5. Weren't the indices all torching in Late January, for February prior to this cold and snow outbreak?? I remember every outlook for February as above to much above normal. We'll see I guess.
  6. Going from the Hottest Summer on record with 30+ days in the 90's to this just goes to show how variable our Climate is here at the 45ish parallel.
  7. That's really cool that you created these. Thank You.
  8. Toledo's 2 Storm Total hit 14.5" officially to make the 3rd biggest in history. It's weird as it just didn't feel that way spread out of over 2 days with multiple breaks. The wind made just enough drifting to cast doubt on such totals. Anyways, never thought I'd see that in my lifetime.
  9. I don't know if I'm missing something, but accuweather seems to be thinking this next system is gonna be pretty substantial for a lot of us. I even checked to see if I was looking at an outdated map.
  10. Officially 12.4" in Toledo. Pretty Epic. Peak came between 12-1:30am when I measured 2" . Really looked like a Blizzard for about 2 hours.
  11. Wow! This died quick. I've heard from some pretty reputable METS mention this will likely correct back west. Of course probably a lot frustrated posters with how this last one turned out for some. Maybe Eastern Ohio can finally get it's storm. Irony would have it turn left at the last minute and flip flop the emotions of the eastern seaboard and Eastern Ohio.
  12. ~10" here in Toledo. spoty reports of up to a foot in a lot of the burbs. Still waiting on the official tally at the airport
  13. Can NOT believe dry is air has worked into NW Ohio. It always finds a way. There's gotta be something about this location.
  14. This is my concern as well. Still very powdery and small flake size in Toledo. Perhaps better moister will do it.
  15. Thank you! Always appreciate your thoughts.
  16. Stebo! What do you make of that doughnut hole in SW Ohio. 1. What is that? 2. Is it a dry slot. 3. Will it affect us in NW OH and SE MI??
  17. Flakes big, or small but efficient?? Still waiting for it to pick up here.
  18. Things getting started pretty good in Toledo. Hat it when the flake size takes some time to build, but radar looks solid. What does everyone make of the dry slot in SW Ohio. Where will that track?
  19. Flake size a little small, but it's early. Always makes me nervous at first.
  20. Just getting started here in NW OH/SE MI. Looking like a solid foot+ in most areas. Jealous of the folks out west that got to see a little day time snow. But very fortunate we won't get visited by the infamous dry slot, as we usually do. To the METS out there. Do you think our predicted numbers are legit??
  21. kind of what I was afraid of. Darn. Can you see that in a Water Vapor? Just love to learn TY
  22. Do you all think that batch of snow is central Illinois will hold together as it heads northeast?? would be another bonus inch for much of us if it does. Plus it's our second course to our 3 course meal. My wife calls this my "Super Bowl". At least i'm not alone
  23. It's nice that we'll have a solid week to really enjoy this. Truly a dream come true around these parts considering climo and all.
  24. For those in SE MI, it's mind boggling how DTX wont issue warnings, especially when thier own graphics and grids clearly depict a high impact event(during two commutes). Lucas county(Toledo) is often treated this way by CLE. They definitely tread their periphery differently. See for yourself. Those two counties to the south have a WWA.
