  1. Severe Thunderstorm Watch coming within the hour most likely
  2. Maybe some severe later on? SPC placed most of the region in the slight risk with the western parts of the area in an enhanced risk. Don't love the timing for around here but there should still be sufficient instability this evening for some boomers. A lot of the time though a line of storms will be weakening by the time it reaches our area come evening. Should be something to keep an eye on though.
  3. Man, it's downright miserable out there with the humidity this morning. Only 78F right now but it already feels like it's close to 90 imo. I was sweating on my 5 minute walk into work..
  4. I can see both sides of your guys points. Embiid was dominant overall but when the games came down to the wire, he made some real boneheaded mistakes. But overall he is not the problem. I think those errors stem from having only one guy he can trust to dish the ball off to when the game gets close and that's Curry. One of Tobi or Simmons has to go. It sucks that they are going to sell really low on Simmons and I think the best you are going to get back is a CJ Mccollum type "star" but you can't roll another year with this "big 3". We probably only have 1-3 years left of embiid before his body breaks down and they need to surround him with talent that can help him ASAP. Tobi and Simmons just are not getting the job done.
  5. Tobias Harris ain't much better. All star my ass after a showing like last night.
  6. Could be worse, you could be a flyers season ticket holder like me
  7. Scattered convection this afternoon looks like a fail but the convective line to our west looks pretty good despite being in a less than ideal environment. Should intensify as it comes off the plateau into better instability.
  8. Pretty interesting timing differences in the meso models for tonight. They all have a complex of storms coming though at some point. The WRF - ARW suite, the RGEM, HRRR and HRDPS have a complex coming through this evening around 00z - 03z time frame while the NAM suite and FV3(new NAM in beta right now) all have the complex coming through late night in the 03z - 06z time frame. I like the night time storms as well. I always enjoy how you get the lightning flashes well in advance and well after the storm. Feels like it always lingers longer because of that. Some meso models also show some pop up cells this afternoon around 95 and progressing east into NJ, will be interesting to see if that comes to fruition with the cloud cover in place this morning. Doesn't seem like too much instability in place yet.
  9. "tHiS iS wHy No ReD tAgGeRs PoSt HeRe" Your post is spot on though. Really a poor showing by mt holly on Friday.
  10. I don't understand that at all. I get the radar is out but do they not check dover's? It's clear as day this is a period of moderate rain with way higher pops than 20% unless you are up in the northern areas.
  11. Well under the forecasted high of 71 here in Trenton. Only made it to 64F before falling back to 63F. Light rain right now.
  12. This is the time of the year where they lay their eggs so they get out of the water and sometimes roam pretty far to make their nest.
  13. Looks like some light rain this morning? Zone forecast only calls for 30% chance of showers but looks like we could see a period of light rain especially towards southern areas. Feels great outside! 63 F
  14. I golfed at Princeton Country Club on Monday afternoon and the brood x's were everywhere! They were so loud, made it pretty difficult to concentrate between the noise and the little ****ers flying at you while you're trying to hit. My best shot of the day though came as one landed on me as I was in my backswing... Surprisingly there are none though in my neck of the woods in Hopewell and none down in Levittown either. Weird distribution of them.
  15. Tomorrow looks like the more widespread day but if anywhere see's storms today, I think the Lehigh Valley and North is the best bet.
  16. I don't think I set my air above 72 at any point. Usually I'm at 68 or 69. I like it cold in my house
  17. And liberals claim they care about the environment yet continue to fly in private jets to speak at these "climate events" and live in mega mansions near the ocean. Weird. You'd think if they were really that concerned about a "climate emergency", they'd practice what they preach.
  18. Finally able to get on the grill for some ribs, brats, and burgers. Might be able to salvage having a fire tonight too since I covered the wood. Sad that I wasn't able to use my new smoker though this weekend, maybe next weekend.... 2.6" storm event total. Dry spell busted. Also made it down to 45F last night.
  19. I've seen a few flashes in the last hour with a small rumble or two.
  20. Absolutely pouring the last hour+ in Hopewell. Rain gauge shows 1.5" so far. I bet half of that has fallen in the last hour. Looks like we should get a break though shortly. The dry spell is officially over. 51F and I'd guess winds between 10-20 mph with higher gusts. Lots of leaves and small branches down up here. Looking at guidance the rest of the weekend, I think 3+" storm total looks like a good bet for much of se pa and NJ.
  21. Getting darker already by me in Hopewell and that usually means the storms gust front is outpacing the precip. I expect the line to weaken considerably the next hour as it approaches the Delaware. Will be surprised if it stays severe. I just hope it rains.. my grass is bone dry and I'm tired of watering the garden twice a day...
  22. Beginning of that schedule is brutal, they could easily be sitting 0-7/1-6 come Detroit. The only favored games are the New York teams, Lions, and Bronco's. Every other game, the birds would be underdogs. Don't care though, this season is house money. Either Hurts will step up and show he's the guy to build around going forward or he crashes and burns and the Birds have a top 5 pick next year plus 2 more. And with Indy's and Miami's schedules, don't be surprised if at least one of those ends up top 10 as well. I could easily see Miami/Tua coming back down to earth this year especially after Bill B bought every FA known to man. Best case is Wentz plays full time next year but plays like he did last year. That Indy pick could be top 10 as well. Imagine having 3 top 10 picks...
  23. Next few days look perfect. It could stay this way for 6 months and I'd be pretty happy. I'm in no rush to get into the heat and humidity. Hopefully the trough stays parked over us
  24. Sixers have won 8 in a row albeit against pretty weak competition. Good to see them on a roll going into the playoffs though. Home court is important to this team even without fans.
