Fun fact it while it snows. On this date in 1950 it was 65 degrees.

Reports in the Bronx that they changed back to mostly snow. Probably changes with the rates. I am snow sleet mixed.

I really really hope they measure in CPK before the sleet compacts.

Latest HRRR punches sleet into Fairfield County within next hour to hours and a half.

I hope Correlation Coefficient has the sleet touching south Manhattan now.

They want to keep it low due to: NAO linking to SE Ridge. Fast flow. West pac warm pool. Ocean temps.

Looks like sleet in CPK approx half hour.

When rated fall all sleet. Sleet snow mix when heavier.

Sleet crossing the bay should be in Brooklyn within half hour.

So the drier air below the heavy band is sleet. Next question is, does snow mix back in when heavier precipitation arrives later.

The RAP seems to have the best handle of the sleet line over HRRR.

Sleet nudged back south a touch on the radar with the heavy band.

Must be coming down heavy under that band.

The heaviest is right before the sleet according to the correlation coefficient radar. Sleet should be in Staten Island about 5 to 15 mins

Extremely heavy band about to hit the City.

Also gives Philly 6.4 more inches. However its good to see a snowed solution.
