  1. Very lackluster on the 00z GFS and Euro runs, in stark contrast to the 00z GDPS. GFS: Euro: GDPS:
  2. Not a lot of snow south of Michigan in the long range on either the 00z GFS or 00z Euro, even with the upcoming cold shots.
  3. I'm looking forward to some of the Winter Weather Advisories getting cancelled by morning. Already changed to rain, if not freezing rain. Dry slot incoming within the next few hours.
  4. 06z GFS: 06z NAM: Yet, the NWS remains conservative.
  5. Let's hope the Euro doesn't cave to what the GFS is showing soon.
  6. Very impressive on the 00z GDPS. Not as much on the UK, though. According to Joe Bastardi, it looks like an upcoming Snowmeggedon scenario.
  7. The 06z GFS says "Mighty juicy!" during the first round. 2nd round:
  8. Despite rain and freezing rain through the day, a little snow apparently snuck into the mix with the freezing rain making DAY receive 0.2" today. With that, DAY narrowly just reached double-digit totals for this season with a current seasonal snowfall total of 10 inches.
  9. Again, the MJO is something that needs to be kept an eye on for the next couple of weeks. A difficult one, according to BAMWX: Judah has posted something that could be interesting over the next few weeks. https://www.aer.com/science-research/climate-weather/arctic-oscillation/
  10. Right before a minitorch to end January and again on day 10, with a nickel-and-dime system in between to kick off February. Meanwhile, the 00z GFS is a shutout for a majority of IL, IN, and OH. Heading to February, the MJO is supposed to fluctuate between phases 6 and 7 before eventually settling into the latter phase.
  11. Some of this is given to Indy and Dayton, as well.
  12. Not as suppressed to the South on the 00z Euro.
  13. 00z GFS: (Cue TPiR losing horns) Just wait until Euro caves to that! The 00z GDPS and 00z UK (latter not much, though) both have already. Even Cincinnati is screwed, especially when they're currently tied for the 5th least snowiest January on record. 00z GDPS: 00z UK:
  14. Close to being gone. Very little snow for Ohio on the 00z NAM.
