  1. I’m sooooo sick of this weather. Went into North Conway yesterday, and it was great to see the sun. We have been stuck in clouds and rain for days
  2. First mention of snow this season in tonight’s P&C
  3. 31.5 Foliage here peaked around Wednesday/Thursday of last week. Colors got muted after that, and lots of bare trees now. Let stick season begin…
  4. Yeah we’ve been getting some drizzle too. Makes me wonder if there will be a bit of white tomorrow on the peaks. edit: looks like a bit of snow and freezing drizzle reported on MWN with 29F
  5. 39F. Already been down to 30, so I don’t think tonight will be the coldest yet
  6. Posted this drone video I took today on IG. The foliage is looking incredible right now https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cx_ZZxZx_--/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
  7. P&C has 34 Tuesday. Had a touch of frost on the roof a couple of days ago, time to bring the plants in
  8. Foliage report - just taken with the drone at about 2500ft. Early, but let’s be real - far from “no change”
  9. Definitely agree. Up here I’d say on average peak is around the first week of October but it does vary a lot - and the duration also varies quite a bit. Sometimes it seems to last forever and sometimes it seems like the next day is gone
  10. Another example, just taken. That hillside does not look like that in August
  11. I wouldn’t say zero. Those look like conifers in the high peak, they’ll look the same in January. It’s changing, I’d expect peak right around Columbus Day
  12. Looks pretty normal here. Lots of change but still muted. The September misery mist can now end though
  13. Eh. I’ve pretty much given up on any significant gardening. Things that are not very hardy really struggle here. Without that, the occasional frost doesn’t really matter much, even in the middle of summer. The daytime is warm and awesome even after a very cool morning, so it’s a very enjoyable weather pattern. Unless you are looking to swim lol
  14. Not in July, August 17th is the earliest we’ve had, but I’ve been told by my landscaper that it’s happened. I definitely don’t see any risk tonight, it’s still 53 degrees, but tomorrow night could be a close call with the P&C at 41, depending on how well it radiates
  15. Gorgeous today. Forecast low for Tuesday night is 41… if we end with a frost I will poke my eyes out
  16. Saw the eruption of Stromboli today. So cool. Couldn’t get the lava fountains well in pictures, but really amazing to see and hear.
  17. The island of Lipari (off of Sicily). Beautiful night last night with the moon shining over the small harbor
  18. I’m visiting my sister in Sardinia Italy; hit 106 yesterday, but thank god it cooled back into the upper 80s today. Beautiful island, very rugged.
  19. This is ridiculous. So over the rain.
  20. 3.6” since June 1st here. Awful
  21. P&C has a low of 33 Sunday. If we get another freeze I’m going to blow a gasket. Half of my yard has been decimated by the late freezes this year, even plants that are generally quite hardy. A light frost is fine, we get those all the time, but a freeze after such warm days would be a pain
