What a day on the slopes with the kids

8” here according to the resort… I don’t really take measurements but stake is at 19”. Seems in line with the forecast with a few more inches expected today and into tomorrow

Flakes are pretty small here but it’s quite intense. Given we have another 28+ hrs to go with snow doesn’t seem like getting to the forecasted 12” should be very hard

Agree. I actually (for absolutely no reason) feel that our forecast of just about 12" may be on the high end - but it could just be because I've always been expecting this to be a SNE storm. Even 5" will be great though - plenty to cover up some patches of ice that's been skied off in the glades...

Snow started here a bit ahead of schedule. It’ll be interesting to see how we do. Looks like winds are pretty light so down sloping shouldn’t be much of an issue, and they turn North in the later part of the storm which is ideal for upslope for us. That’s how we got to 48 or so inches in the biggest storm I’ve seen since moving here but mountain weather is always fickle… could go either way

Only made it to -14F here which is pretty common on a good radiational night and quite far from our seasonal low of -29. The fact that it snowed a good chunk of the night probably had something to do with it...

Got it. Thank you PF! Interesting stuff. Looks like we finally cleared out sometime overnight after a few more inches of snow. With all the talk of cold, though, we only got to -14F which is pretty common on a good radiational night and quite far from our seasonal low of -29.
