  11. Thank you, Don, for another difficult read. It’s ironic, I was watching the 2004 disaster movie, Day After Tomorrow, when I opened the link. I’m an old man with zero skills in the atmospheric sciences. I do remember hearing a simple explanation of a storm/weather extreme as the atmosphere seeking a balance. The atmosphere cares not for our politics or our debate. I fear that with or without us the balance will be sought, executed and achieved. As always .....

  14. My sympathies for your loss on this, your Mrs.birthday. Indeed we share pain, so many of us, we could be a forum unto ourselves. My lost love was born on December 18th. It was the final tree and our last celebration together barely seven weeks before she left. The memories often bring tears but somehow those same memories also manage to sooth the pain. I look at her portrait and sometimes whisper “Vaya con Dios, until we meet again” as always .....

  23. I remember those years. A little over 26 inches in 1965. The churches were offering special prayers for ran. Houses with Accessible yards in my Brooklyn neighborhoods were having wells dug. Trying to do that In the city today would probably be a permit nightmare. In my present Brooklyn area, even if my postage stamp was accessible, the NYC Landmarks hysterical society board would deny my request because the ground was historical.. As always ....
