2003 I weighed 205 pounds by mid 2004 I was 140. Typical man, I thought nothing of it and just kept tightening the belt. My lost love said your going to the Doctor. I said no and that’s final. I, like Ralph Kramer, am the king of my Italian castle. So I went immediately. My primary care physician thought the bucket and my foot were about to meet. ( he told me this tidbit later ) set me up for every test/scan there was and told my love to make sure the personal affairs were in order, I am still here at 140lbs sixteen years later, still missing what was best in my life, my lost love. Today is her birthday. She would have been 68. My comfort today is to gaze at my postage stamp, dressed in white and imagine the briefest touch of soft lips on my cheek. As always ....

At my present chronological stage one is a dream the other a wish cast. As always .....

Don, I went through this while the first sustained snow fell and melted on my postage stamp backyard. From a now well opened North West Passage to burning duff plugs I found the non biased, non political information ironically poignant as the fading frozen promise continues to fall outside my window.
