  1. Good morning I NW & NE friends. I found and could not resist recording this morning, on my sunny UHI blessed block. Tomorrow we will experience a bomb cyclone ( media verbiage ) and a day of explosive posting ( my verbiage ). Sunday, regardless of what is or isn’t on our ground, I will check to see if the brave daffodil made it, next week for all of us, ( my hope/prayer ) sun and peace. As always ….
  2. As you sow so shall you reap …… the drought ravaged ground will be too hard to dig a proper grave. As always ….
  3. Good evening forky. If I read this correctly we’ll have to get to the west coast of Central America to cool off in the warm season. Better I remain not knowing what I’m looking at. As always ….
  4. Good evening Don. I remember an old almanac type weather saying ‘watch for frost on the pumpkin’ Your magnificent photos can also use a saying. Perhaps with a bit of theft from my beloved USPS … Neither rain, sleet, snow nor gloom of night can stay the beauty of these early blooms. Thank you, as always …..
  5. Good morning Liberty. The extremes now occurring may invite the attention. Getting a sunburn on Wed and chipping ice off the walk on Fri? Watching the dirt dust caress your dying grass/shrubs one month seeing the plants carcass disappear in the ponding mud the next, perhaps. Enjoying the misty to showery rains in the warm season with a roll of thunder morph into wind driven beasts with the fearsome sound of a freight train approaching, where no tracks exist. The “show me” formula” may work or our companion species are showing us the way. A way which for them and us is becoming the only viable option. They are moving towards extinction. As always …
  6. Good evening WG. If it’s a vote contest it will undoubtably need its own thread, stay well, as always ……
  7. Good morning Liberty, CIK62. What is concerning to me is that the “what if” extreme scenarios seem to be moving steadily from the realm of fiction to that of plausibility. Stay well, as always ….
  8. More likely at a coven than a traditional church. As always …..
  9. Good morning S19. At this time of year it is best. Pretty to look at. Enjoyable to walk through. Wet only streets. Best of all, no shoveling. Stay well, as always …..
  10. Good morning Nibor. A well done representation of the afterlife. I refrained from giving a name to the drinker. I’m sorta proud of that. Stay well, as always ….
  11. Good afternoon Will. I would be an archaeopteryx. Marvelous discussion starter. I’m hoping forky replies, once he gets over the fuel consumption blues. Stay well, as always …..
  12. How do you ever park it under that bridge. As always …..
  13. Good morning Liberty. We will need a new thread for this, possibly age restricted. As always ….
  14. Good morning Don and BW. During the years I’ve enjoyed weather forums I’ve noticed evolved changes in what folks look at. We have traditionally tracked/discussed excess and deficient rains/snows, tropical systems, excessive heat and cold periods. I notice another arising, thanks in part to our annoyed atmosphere. Short term air temperature ranges. A range of 50 degrees, low to high, is possible in CPK in a little overs two days. There may be others but that one here and in other parts of the country impressed me. Stay well, as always ….
  15. Good morning Rjay. The New England sub forum may have the most posts, however the NYC Metro sub forum continues to have a higher weenie power ranking. Wonderful list and a sincere congratulations to those who made it possible. Stay well all, as always ….
  16. Good morning Liberty, snywx, Irish. Liberty I don’t believe you consciously troll. Instead you enjoy the give and take of a lively discussion. I also understand/experience the convenience of living deep within a major city. The formula seems to be ‘C’ity + ‘C’onvenience = ‘L’iving. The accuracy of the formula becomes problematic once you have a Catskills type experience. I’m entranced with the idea of living in a building that is also a forest and a park. One that could possibly be thought of as a low rise Catskills on the coastal plain. I imagine the thought of NYC trading UHI for radiational cooking. I’m also old and will never live to see such a wonder. And even though I may neve again walk the paths of a blessed place like the Catskills I will stand, eyes closed, in my postage stamp and continue to dream. Stay well all. As always ….
  17. Good morning Anthony. The wait/anticipation for its return will be enjoyable with a partner by your side. I miss my partner more than winter and when that loss arrives there is no return. Stay well and look forward to the happiness of your warm season. As always …..
  18. Ah Liberty; to breath crystal cold air, hear the sounds of fauna while enjoying the scent of the native flora. Hearing the splash and flow of a stream, a brook, a small river. Crunching though snow that hasn’t greyed to meet a city streets expectation. To look up on a moonless night and still see twinkling lights. There is so much more up there, Liberty and I’ve only stated what appeals to me. Stay well and look to Polaris. As always …..
  19. Good morning Anthony and it eventually will be. We are an ongoing Greek Tragedy. Rueing the loss of the cold season, begrudging the coming warmth, yet enjoying the it’s comfort. We begin to wonder if 100 degrees is possible all the while keeping tabs on the pulse of the oceans/atmosphere for hints of the next cold seasons evolution. I thank the forum. For I find it thoroughly enjoyable, even though, for a season or so we lose S19 but still look forward to his expected/welcome cold season return. Stay well, Anthony, as the line in Carousel states; “April cried and stepped aside and along came pretty little May”. For you May is full of promises that will all be kept. Stay well, as always …
  20. Good morning and speedy recovery Unc. Here I thought certain afflictions were less likely when reaching senior status. Stay well, as always …..
  21. Good evening gravity I consider you and others as the singular minds I was talking about. 20 years from now if I’m fortunate, what’s left of me will be the nucleus for frozen precipitation. Right now I’ll settle on remembering how to reboot the I Pad. Stay well, as always ….
  22. Will this is a hell of a way to get even for losing the weather window for the swimsuit photo session. As always ….
  23. Good afternoon Don. Your wording is fine and understood. Some of us chronologically find 40’s cold. Stay well, as always …..
