Looks like 12Z continued the trend of the past several runs of more QPF for us. Temps are dicey, especially at the surface, but it's showing quite a bit of frozen.

@Interstatementioned 12/8/13. That was the second-earliest December snow in my years here, at 8”. That winter turned out ok too.

This will be the 20th winter I’ve lived in the eastern panhandle of WV. In that time, I’ve had one accumulating snow during the first week of December: 12/6/2009 with 2.9”.

Stayed in the mid 30's all afternoon with winds gusting to 30. Snow grains falling at times under partly sunny skies. High of 36.

12Z Euro had the low scooting off the coast at Myrtle Beach. GFS keeps parking a 998 over Nanticoke, MD. Maybe tomorrow we can get a better idea about Tuesday.

Had a gust to 46 that knocked out the internet. Word from Comcast is “network damage” and it may be back in a few hours.

I got 15” from that 3/21 storm. Haven’t had a double-digit snowfall since then.

That was my last winter living in western MD, where I had grown up. It rivaled the more-heralded winters of the late 70’s. Had seven below-zero nights in January, including back-to-back -13’F’s. 45” winter in the valley around Cumberland, where the average is about 30”
