  1. Road is clear, but it is absolutely ripping under this band. Easily 4”-5” on non-paved surfaces.
  2. Visible sat shows almost a cleared out “eye”. Pretty cool. If only we had a decent HP in Quebec for this one.
  3. Over 2.5” now. Decent rate coming down. Road is still ok.
  4. Heaviest snow of the storm. 1.5” or so, but road is clear.
  5. 38/37 with showers. Granted I expect an 1-2” of slop when I wake up. The satellite depiction shows two distinct pin wheels, one over the ocean and one in West Virginia. Too bad we couldn’t get a phased storm.
  6. 1/24/16…put up a 30” spot at my house. Almost rivaled ‘96 in my mind.
  7. He’s been in the New York subforum for we in the interior/ex-burbs. I’ll look for it.
  8. Flipped to all snow around 6:00 am. 1.5” down with snow continuing.
  9. Wet flakes mixing in down in Chester. 750 asl.
  10. Euro has been rather locked in compared to the GFS.
  11. About 2.5” in Chester; there was a noticeable layer of ice on the bottom so I guess we lost some to sleet.
  12. A nice peaceful snowfall occurring. 1/2” down on all surfaces.
  13. Both my home (southwest Morris) and my office (northern Somerset) appear in the pinkish area…should be interesting.
  14. Looks like a lake-effect band. Strange.
  15. My area of north Jersey is not dissimilar; that’s why I am glad we have this sub-forum. Of course my weather is also vastly different from the 84 corridor on the borderline events. But for NJ, I am 37 miles west/northwest of Manhattan. Elevation is 750’ asl. I use MMU for the most part, but they are lower in elevation.
  16. Flipped to pingers at home in chester but down to 30/24.
  17. All snow in Basking Ridge at the office. Came in like a wall. Best snow fall all season.
  18. MMU about to kiss double digits on those maps. Hah. Fun to look at but I’m not expecting that. 36/21 currently.
  19. WSW up, but only because we are part of Morris County. 27 degrees now with sun. Looking forward to tonight.
  20. We have 40 here currently. Zooming out on wunderground seems to show the cold push oriented from NW to SE at the NY/NJ border. HRRT showing MMU at 7.5. Biggest event of the season if we can get 4”.
  21. I-78 looks the battle zone. I’m 10 miles northwest. Gotta smell the rain to thump the snow. So who knows.
