    Can confirm as a Jersey guy. However our town is actually splendid in fall and the local farms get loaded with city folks coming out for the “fall experience” to the point we avoid going to them, or even driving near them if possible.

    You have to move out to the western burbs; it’s close to a top 10 day of the year. I’ve stopped working and have cracked open a beverage.

    Appreciate the input. I’m expecting 60 and cloudy at best if I try to host our outdoor party. Fire pit will be roaring, but I’m sure the older generation will still be cold.

    For an “in our backyard” standpoint we cancelled our kids party on 9/26; rescheduled for this Sunday. 35+ adults and kids that need to remain outside… Needless to say, hitting refresh often before I decide to host it or cancel.

    Heavy patches of fog on the field across the street from my house. Looks great with the fall colors popping behind it.

    Per my co-worker, via her parents, the main road in LBI is closed (southern end) as it’s impassable.

    Seems rather quiet in here for what’s about to likely unfold on the Tri-state area. I am slightly more concerned what might happen from a power perspective, compared to projected rainfall, in light of fully leafed out trees in my area.

    For an in my back yard take, we have our annual fall fest/kids bday party set for Saturday; but if it’s going to come, let’s get it cranking!

    56 now; yesterday’s somewhat elevated humidity broke overnight. All eyes on this weekend, with our annual fall/festival planned for Saturday.

    Heavy rain now. Hopefully the seed I laid down yesterday doesn’t all wash out. Saw that a flash flood warning was posted for southeastern Morris County down near Long Hill Township/Chatham.

    Heavy rain, with lightening and thunder last night; woke up one of our kids. Not sure how much fell.

    Started with heavy rain around 7:45 while we waited for the bus; kids 1st day back. Still going now with frequent lightening and thunder. No wind.
