  1. No disagreement about upgrades/debris clean up, but where I was the rate was considerable. That part of Monmouth County is also rather low lying, not more than 20 miles from the Atlantic as the crow flies.
  2. I was at a site inspection in Ocean Township from 10:00-11:30 this morning. It was some of the heaviest rain I’ve seen in a while. Multiple roads were flooded as I made my way back to Route 18.
  3. Port Jervis/Huguenot area looks like it’s getting crushed. That area had a wicked flood in 2006/2007 I think, when the Neversink went over its banks. Hopefully the stationary cells start to lift.
  4. Update: very heavy rainfall has begun. Frequent lightening/thunder, not much wind.
  5. I’m just north of the cells loading up and moving north east along route 78. Constant lightening and thunder, but no rain yet.
  6. We just an FB update from Chester’s municipal government noting 76% of the residences are out of power; they are calling in back up road/tree and power crews.
  7. Finished up a good, if not hot, week down the shore. Water temp was again 58 here, but crystal clear water.. kids loved it at low tide.
  8. Reporting from the Lavalette area; strong sea breeze. Water temp is 59 degrees due to the recent upwelling; kids love it, but’s it’s painfully cold at first.
  9. Worked up a good sweat doing outside morning chores; should be a fun few days…
  10. 84 here; clouds rolled in at 3. Tomorrow the inferno begins.
  11. Down the shore this week. Water is still chilly. 64 today; sea breeze for the win.
  12. Good rains in this part of southwest Morris; hopefully cushions the impacts from the coming torch.
  13. Round 2 of heavy rain at the office in Berkeley Heights.
  14. 58/49… wonderful morning.
  15. 78/57… beautiful outside for yard work.
  16. Small cell out in this part of south west Morris County doing work… heavy rain, constant lightening and rolling thunder.
  17. Gotta love statistics…. Mark Twain having a laugh. Gorgeous out; enjoy the day all!
  18. Decent slug of rain now; should clear out by late morning. Maybe we can salvage the afternoon?
  19. We also kicked the heat on the first floor zone last night. Currently 50 with light rain. We put up some decent numbers from 4-8:30 a.m; over an 1” now.
  20. 48 with the heaviest rain of the day out this way. I put down new seed yesterday; perfect rate of rainfall to get it watered in so far.
  21. Precip is having a hard time pushing north/east at the moment.
  22. Bring on the rain! We missed out on last nights event. Looks like some solidly below average temps the next 5 days or so; unfortunate that it’s over Memorial Day weekend.
  23. Seems like a lot of rot; these storms will expose them. Hopefully not a lot of property damage.
  24. Just to the north of the warned cell; lots of lightening at the field and soccer practice for my daughter is called. Not much for rain here; wet the dust.
