  1. This seems likely to follow the path of the previous storm where the GFS kept showing good portions of Maryland getting a significant ice storm and then all winter weather ended up well north of the MD/PA line.
  2. Mainly just flurries here. "Heaver" portion seemed to go just a few miles to my north. Oh well. It was really well-modeled the last couple of days. Needed the PA and NY portions to it down this way. They got a nice event up there.
  3. Hoping it drops down and clips me here but the line definitely seems to be becoming more fragmented as times goes on. HRRR showed this really well.
  4. Look at the precip. Need to somehow get this thing cold enough for a powder event.
  5. Too far out to parse details but definitely farther south than last run.
  6. It looked like the most intense part near us dropped through Catonsville and Elkridge.
  7. That snow squall was easily a top three event of the winter for me. Roads instantly caved, snow coming down at a good rate, wind picked up, etc. Just picked up a very light dusting, but roads are white. Will be a nice walk to the bus stop this morning.
  8. Nice event for the farther NW folks it seems. Guess my location just isn't far enough NW. Nothing on paved surfaces here, and I'm seeing blades of grass. Guessing mayyybe an inch? Would be an appropriate way to end winter if this is, in fact, our final snow. Bigger totals all around me this winter. A true snow hole.
  9. 18z NAM actually gave me some real interest and hope but I'm not surprised by the 0z at all. Where is the cold air right now? These setups where we are waiting on the cold air to bleed in almost always end up much father north and west with the significant accumulations. You can forget models and just forecast these by climo and the history of seeing these storms a billion times here before.
  10. Remember all those GEFS runs showing above normal precip and below normal temps for our area? That worked out well.......
  11. If you increased the totals some, this would be a near perfect map to encapsulate this entire winter so far.
  12. GFS is going, going, gone. This La Nina winter is definitely doing La Nina things. Another nice hit for parts of Virginia and a little something again for the Eastern Shore. Looks like we will be closing the blinds now at least through the rest of February. Hope we get some 55-60 degree sunny days and not a lot of mid 40's with clouds and a breeze.
  13. It's awful. GFS losing the crown of King after a hot start to winter.
  14. I'm seeing panel 72 and then the next bunch of panels are missing, but extrapolating, it does seem much better.
