We'll probably be in the 60s on Sunday ahead of the storm.
-
Allsnow would love to see a snowy winter but he's just being honest about what he's seeing. Remember he was great last winter. He absolutely nailed it. He knows what he's talking about.
-
Yeah it's 52 degrees here right now. Beautiful out there ... nice way to end November. I'm leaving now for bow hunting. Perfect weather for it.
-
Yep we might not make it out of the upper 30s on Tuesday.
-
Since it's dry out there and we could use a good soaking, I'm glad to see that the models haven't backed down on the heavy rain for tomorrow night. Still looking like a nice 1 to 2 inch soaking.
-
Yep it's gonna be chilly for the holiday, but not as impressive as it was looking. A few days ago it looked like high temps in the low-mid 40s for Thursday and Friday, but now it appears high temps will be near 50. Just near normal weather for late november.
-
I don't usually care as much about getting rain once the gardening season has ended, but it's very dry out there. Dry dirt was flying when I was doing leaf cleanup yesterday. We really could use a good soaking. Hopefully we'll get at least an inch from the Tuesday night storm.

65 degrees here. What a day. I'm leaving shortly for bow hunting, and I'll do leaf cleanup tomorrow. Nice to get a couple warm days for these outdoor activities before we go into the cool pattern. As others are pointing out, the cold shot coming in for Thanksgiving is looking pretty impressive. We'll probably have some days with high temps in the low-mid 40s and low temps in the low-mid 20s. Still some nice foliage out there. Obviously we're past peak and a lot of trees are finished, but still some here and there that turned late and are filled with brilliant reds. I had to stop to take some picks on my way to hunting in Readington yesterday. But as Allsnow pointed out, next week should finish off the foliage season with the big rainstorm.

Yep October and November are usually boring weather months around here. Not much interesting stuff to talk about. Hopefully it will pick up in December. It would be nice to have an early snowfall this season.
-
It's very low, but there's still a little ragweed pollen out there too. It takes more than a couple brief light to moderate freezes to kill off these annoying things. The bugs and ragweed won't be gone until we get more consistent freezing temps.
-
We probably would have hit 70 here today had the clouds not hung on so long. The sun did come out in time to pop me up to a high temp of 66 here. We'll see if we get another shot at 70 after the cool period this weekend into early next week. Looks like some 65 to 70 degree weather is possible in the 16th to 18th period.
-
Low temp of 26 here.
-
Yeah I'm still picking a decent amount of raspberries too. I don't think the light freeze tonight will do much damage to them. Probably will be getting raspberries until late in the month.
-
Should get down to about 29 here tonight. Always a little sad to see the growing season come to an end, but it's certainly time now that we're into early november. Most of the stuff in my vegetable garden has fizzled out anyway. One thing that always goes very strong right up until frost is the pole lima beans, so I'm going outside now to pick the last big batch.
-
Yeah I wouldn't expect a freeze for NYC Wednesday night. It might not go lower than upper 30s in the city. We should get a freeze here just west of the city though.
-
First freeze coming Wednesday night.
-
Yep I thought that was gonna be our last 80s. I'm glad we got another shot of very warm weather here in late October.
-
81 here now. Hit 83 earlier. It even feels a little muggy with the dewpoint at 60. Feels more like late August than late October. I hope everyone is enjoying this last day of summer! Quite a change coming ... Wednesday we might be stuck in the 40s.
-
High of 75 here today. As others mentioned, clouds hung on too long to get temps like we had yesterday. Will be sunny much earlier tomorrow so we should hit low 80s. Last warm day before the cool pattern.
-
81 here. I'm leaving now for bow hunting. Warmer than ideal for hunting, but I don't care. This is spectacular weather. I am looking forward to the chilly weather next week (maybe our first freeze next wed or thur night), but I'm glad we're getting this last stretch of summer-like weather.
-
Sorry the car got damaged, but I'm glad you had a great time looking at the spectacular foliage.
-
This is a spectacular week for outdoor activities. Lots of bow hunting and hiking for me. Looking forward to the upper 70s. And you're right that the foliage looks very nice. There were concerns that it might not be as great this year due to the constantly saturated soil, but that doesn't appear to be happening. Looks great out there.
-
Yeah it's starting to look nice. Tomorrow I'm going up to Sussex County to check out the color and do some hiking at Swartswood Park.
-
And before then with our minor cool shot early next week, it looks as if our area could get down to mid-upper 30s monday night.
-
And actually a lot of the models are showing most of the rain friday now instead of saturday. It could be a decent soaking friday afternoon into friday night but then a mostly dry saturday.
