  1. 0z HRRR weakens the line before it gets to us around 5-6pm, but then has some more scattered cells after that. I think some areas will get hit hard tomorrow evening while others miss out, similar to most of the severe weather events this season. Should be an interesting evening even though the event overall isn't what it could have been with Debby's big rains missing us well to the west.
  2. Another quarter inch here this morning as our wet week continues. HRRR and NAM 3km look similar for tomorrow into tomorrow night. Mostly dry for most of the day tomorrow as Debby passes well to the west, and then we get into some action around 5 or 6pm. Looks like a typical scattered convection event for tomorrow night with some places getting little and other places getting 1 to 2 inches from downpours. Severe weather threat as well as others have mentioned. All over by early Saturday morning. Then an amazing stretch of weather for the weekend through mid next week. Sunshine with highs in the 80s and dew points in the 50s. A much needed drying out period and the nicest stretch of the summer.
  3. Sorry to hear that happened, but I'm glad you're doing better. Yeah I hate mosquitoes too. I've been bitten a million times but thankfully it has never caused a problem for me.
  4. I've always noticed that the more humid it is outside, the more mosquitoes you see. So I assume we've had our worst summer for mosquitoes because it has been an extremely humid summer.
  5. It feels so refreshing. It's going to be invigorating exercising outside in this weather this afternoon. A rare treat in the middle of summer.
  6. The Canadian models have been on their own with the idea of more significant rain with Debby Friday into Friday night for our area. Today's NAM and GFS and last night's Euro give us only around a half inch. I wouldn't be surprised if some spots get a little more than that with some downpours due to some extra tropical moisture ahead of the front, but it definitely doesn't look like a big deal and we have a great weekend ahead.
  7. A nice turnaround from the very hot and dry July when a ton of watering was needed. After the last of the rain passes late Friday night, the dry period for the weekend through most of next week will be welcome.
  8. I see GFS sped up the timing and ends the rain during the overnight Friday night like the CMC and Euro. Also it doesn't give us much rain with the remnants of Debby Friday into Friday night. We might get more than what GFS shows, but today was the main event for the week. Debby's remnants Friday isn't looking like a big deal.
  9. Still haven't had any heavy rain here today. Moderate off and on and I'm a little over a half inch, but that's finally about to change with heavy rain moving in right now.
  10. Only 0.24" here. The afternoon part of this event ended up mostly missing our area, but we still have a good chance of seeing heavy storms tonight. Radar back in PA looks good.
  11. Still just light rain here. Based on the way radar looked I thought I was gonna get hammered, but the storm in Somerset has really struggled to move into Middlesex and now a lot of it seems to be lifting north.
  12. That's quite a line of heavy rain to our south with training going on. We'll have to see if the models are right about new storms forming over our area in the next 1 to 2 hours. Looks like it should happen.
  13. Yeah that 13z run of HRRR is wild with training right across our area. It gives parts of Middlesex County over 6 inches of rain, but who knows if that's right. HRRR could be overdoing it and of course it's hard for it to tell exactly where the worst will happen. Obviously MAJOR potential for this evening though. Today looks much worse than the remnants of Debby for our area.
  14. We have a lot to get through to get there, but it looks like an amazing stretch of weather after Debby's remnants pass. Starting on Sunday, several sunny days with high temps in the 80s and low humidity. Looks like the best stretch of the summer.
