    91 with a dewpoint of 73 here. Hot and humid but not horrific. Not so bad that I can't go for a run outside this afternoon.

    At least we're finally going to see a couple significant breaks in the humidity -- Friday into Saturday and again Monday into Tuesday. Four out of five days with pretty low humidity will be nice. Get out and enjoy it, because the big heat will be coming back the end of next week.

    Thankfully that flash flood warned cell weakened and ended up not being a big deal for my area. Just a small downpour and I got only 0.20" here. We'll have to see if the activity in PA causes trouble here later tonight.

    On latest radar I see it's breaking up a little bit. I don't think it's gonna be too bad.

    Horrible. Hopefully it will move along fast enough that we can avoid more flooding.

    The tomatoes got off to a very slow start this season due to all that cloudy/cool weather we had mid May through mid June. They're doing better now and I will get a decent crop, but it appears that it's not gonna be the best season for tomatoes. The thing that's doing the best in my garden is the pole lima beans. They're growing like CRAZY and absolutely loaded with flowers and small pods. This weekend I'm gonna start my romaine lettuce seeds for the fall.

    It's unbelievable that this happened just a week and a half after our area was devastated by that incredibly severe t-storm that had 70 to 80mph winds.

    Still raining here but it's light. 5.45" so far. Horrible scene with my street flooded and water up to the houses. A car stuck in the middle of the street front of my house. Several emergency vehicles at the end of the street.

    Yeah I was just gonna mention that we're finally seeing hope on radar. Looks like maybe the backbuilding is ending. Still pouring here but it's breaking up just to the west in Somerset County. I'm a little over 5 inches of rain here now. A moron tried to drive through the flooding, and he had to abandon his car right in front of my house. I hear the loud yelling and cursing right now.

    Water is up to the houses on my street now. What incredibly bad luck to get hit by this kind of flooding just a week and a half after we got hit by one of the most severe t-storms ever. A couple houses on my street got crushed by big trees from that storm. Now major flooding. Horrible.

    I'm starting to think even more than that. I'm over 3 inches now, and the backbuilding on radar looks really bad. This could be 6 to 8 inches of rain. I hope not.

    And with the backbuilding it's pouring here again. Unfortunately this is looking like it's gonna be an epic flooding event. That HRRR run from earlier in the afternoon that I pointed out (5 inches of rain for our area) is going to end up being right.

    My road is flooded already. That hasn't happened in a long time. 2.30" of rain in a very short period of time. It's tapering off here now but as you said, the backbuilding is concerning. Hopefully we won't end up getting 4 to 5 inches of rain.

    The lightning here is off the charts. The most lightning I've seen and the closest strikes in years. Incredible storm. Can't believe I still have power.

    Not just the heavy rain but we have quite a t-storm going on. Lots of lightning and very strong wind. Not as severe as that storm we had the day before the 4th, but it's gusting 40mph. North wind is blowing the rain sideways. Appears we're gonna get inches of rain too ... some of those HRRR runs were right.

    Occasionally the HRRR turns in a great performance, but no question it's bad more often than it's good. I see the latest 17z run is back to showing much more activity and crushes a lot of the area this evening. We shall see.

    A small downpour just missed me to the south by a mile or two. Hoping for some heavy rain later...

    I don't want major flooding, but hoping for some heavy rain today because it's so dry out there. I see the latest HRRR (14z) crushes my area with 5 inches of rain, but we know how HRRR is. It moves around from run to run and is wildly inconsistent. Obviously some spots will get very heavy rain amounts today while others get little to nothing. Who knows.
