I'm an intermediate skier, but after some practice at Crotched and Wildcat, and maybe Mt Snow, I'd like to give MRG a try. From the pics and videos I've seen, it's an amazing place on a powder day. For a long time I've wanted to ski in northern VT, but the other mountains are way too expensive to justify traveling that far. Maybe next year I'll get the Epic pass.

I'm thinking of getting both the Drifter pass and the seasonal pass for MRG, which is very cheap if you're under 30.

Maybe... I'll probably make a decision about ski passes next month since I'm not yet settled, but Wachusett is the closest decent ski area to my location so I'm kinda interested.

There's only one on my list that I experienced in New England: the Feb 2013 blizzard. Hopefully I'll soon have more to add now that I'm most likely here to stay.

I think a good rule of thumb for those of us who aren’t in northern Carroll county is to never get too excited for a storm if DC is getting screwed. Because without DC, there’s way too little room for error for those of us a bit further north.

Nice. I was hoping for that but that last minute north jump messed it up for those of us closer to the city. A solid storm with marginal temps looks amazing on the trees. Luckily I’ll be able to ski tomorrow so it should be a very nice drive on the way.

All that amazing snow on last night’s RGEM went to PA instead. Maybe I’ll be at Roundtop tomorrow evening.

Definitely looks like a bust for Baltimore county unless we get a miracle. March 2017 all over again. Time for our friend in Connecticut to do his thing.

The problem with going for high numbers all the time is that if they keep busting high, people won't take them as seriously.

I wouldn't disregard the HRRR completely at this point.

I fully expect us to get tainted. Hopefully it won't ruin the height of the storm, but we're cutting it really close.

12z RGEM is a bit more realistic now. Similar to the previous run, but with QPF toned down.

I hope the NAMs are too warm. Most other models look pretty good. We're headed to nowcast time, so time to let the chips fall. Saw a few flakes.
