Same here and I would classify the first storm of the day severe. I was out in it and it had everything, vivid lightning and thunder, extremely heavy rain and flooding and strong winds. I know it depends on where you're located but this has been a big time thunderstorm day here and it's still rumbling now.

One storm after another. Fun from a weather enthusiast point of view, crappy for somebody who has been on the road all day.

Insane storm. Lots of lightning and thunder and some of the heaviest rain I've ever seen and I don't say that lightly, very scary out on the roads.

It's coming down in buckets in Midtown.

I see a lot of talk about storms missing left and right but here in Whitestone we've had a really good run of storms the last few weeks including last night and right now as we speak. Not a ton of rain but plenty of thunder and lightning and a big wind burst last week that knocked down plenty of trees.

I highly doubt that. I'd be more than fine with no more sub 40 days until November but I think it's too premature, on March 2nd, to say that 30s for highs are done.

Nice refresher, everything outside of main roads covered and it actually came down heavy for a time. It's just one of those winters that loves to snow.

Snow still going pretty strong here, over 24 hours of almost continuous snow.

Snow picking up after a few hours of very light stuff, would love to add another 2-3" to get to 2 feet but that might be a longshot. @ag3how much do you have? 21" here last check

I don't think anything will top February 2006 here. 28" and hours of thundersnow, those are still the craziest rates I ever witnessed. That was one of those rare NYC jackpots

Steady light snow for hours on top of a 20"+ base is one of the most beautiful sights you'll see around these parts for a snow lover.

I'm not, not at all. I, and others, were saying that the Rgem almost always runs too dry on the eve of big snow events. Plus it was an outlier compared to all the other short range models. The GFS is the real winner in all of this, it was the only one showing a hit like 3 days ago hardly wavered got mocked endlessly by us then gave us the ol' middle finger at the end and said how about me now?

Great storm here but we're likely not going to get the historic totals that the L.I. folks are getting, you guys are getting rocked while we sit in subsidence. Still, great storm for most of us. About 15" here

Just went for a little walk and cleaned off the car. Long story short, it's a lot of snow. Wanted to send other pics but they aren't attaching for whatever reason but this is just an idea of how deep it is.

Areas in West Jersey that were fringed on some of the models are going overperform big time with the deform band from Philly through NJ.

Again, this is why you put more stock in the mesos over the globals this close in. The globals are already busting low. The RGEM especially so

Wow that band around Philly is something else. Their snow won't last as long as us but they might get the highest rates of the storm.

Already approaching 9-10" here. I think 20" is very attainable.
