I don't know, we've been sitting in subsidence here in Northern Queens for a while.

Great storm here but we're likely not going to get the historic totals that the L.I. folks are getting, you guys are getting rocked while we sit in subsidence. Still, great storm for most of us. About 15" here

Just went for a little walk and cleaned off the car. Long story short, it's a lot of snow. Wanted to send other pics but they aren't attaching for whatever reason but this is just an idea of how deep it is.

Areas in West Jersey that were fringed on some of the models are going overperform big time with the deform band from Philly through NJ.

Again, this is why you put more stock in the mesos over the globals this close in. The globals are already busting low. The RGEM especially so

Wow that band around Philly is something else. Their snow won't last as long as us but they might get the highest rates of the storm.

Already approaching 9-10" here. I think 20" is very attainable.

Pouring snow in Whitestone, looks to be at about 7" now and piling up fast.

I think that's reasonable. I'm already at about 6" and the heaviest stuff hasn't even arrived yet, we have another 12-15 hours of this still to go so 2 feet isn't that unrealistic for us.

Who could possibly be disappointed unless you're far north and west. Most of us are going to get 18"+

Those bands south of Long Island mean business, we're going to pile up big time when those come ashore. Crazy to think that there's going to possibly be another 15-18 hours of this. I'm starting to think that 2 feet is possible for a lot of us at the coast.

Pretty much the only two TV meterologists I'd listen to, along with Lee Goldberg but the former two mainly.

Snow sticking to the trees and nowhere else not even car tops, I don't recall that happening many times.

So my girlfriend asks me "How are the snow weenies doing today?", I said "Not good, they realized that they might get 12-18" instead of 20-30", she says "You guys are a weird bunch, you're rooting for crippling snowstorms while all it does is give me anxiety" and I said "That's because you're normal, we're not" lol

You guys are crazy for going now lol. I got it done yesterday and it was still crazy, I can't imagine the mayhem today.

What is "painful"? This is a 12-18" storm areawide, some of you need to gain some perspective.

It has begun, snow has commenced. Don't really care about the models now, just going to watch this unfold.

This is not an issue at all. The biggest question is how far north the storm gets before moving east and where the best banding sets up.
