  1. Well since I pushed for that thread to be started to begin with, I cant completely disagree. Ofc I don't have any say in which threads stay active and which ones are locked. I suggested a separate thread mostly to keep the COVID talk from dominating banter, as it was at the time. Activity is definitely much lighter here now in general though, but that is typical for this time of year. At least there is an easily accessible option for those who want to engage in that discussion on this forum.
  2. The action here always dies off this time of year. Most of the regulars gradually disappear. This is a winter weather 'centric' forum, despite the fact we don't see much actual winter weather anymore in these parts.
  3. Yes its a 206. Fat fingers me lol. Fixed
  4. So I bought a Honda mower today- the same one @George BM has and recommended. My dad has basically the same thing, but his has an electric start. I am good with pull start. I'll get it put together on Saturday. Enjoying an Oliver 206 IPA right now.
  5. Was super foggy here too, but has mixed out already. Sun is out for now,
  6. The 12z Euro yesterday did have an axis of heavier rain for eastern areas again, like last week lol. It may have backed off on that. I haven't looked at the latest run.
  7. The small tropical disturbance looks like it will track well west now, as the Atlantic ridge is stronger/further west. The area of lift with that feature is compact, and looks to be focused over the mountains. Rain chances for most of the region look pretty low until Friday as the front approaches, and even that is looking less impressive for significant rain on the latest guidance.
  8. Continues to look like an interesting period upcoming. Mount Holly's thoughts-
  9. Dense fog here this morning. Hopefully the sun makes an appearance before dinner time today lol.
  10. Still cloudy here! Temp is up to 68 though. Enjoyable day despite the lack of sun. Plenty of days of 80s and humidity in the very hear future.
  11. 65 and still cloudy here. No complaints though- the warmth is on the doorstep.
  12. Well funny you mention that. I was just talking to my dad and that is exactly what he has. He seems very happy with it. For the money, I am leaning in that direction.
  13. Ha yeah. I remember my dad had one when I was a little kid living in a row house in Edmonson Heights. I may have pushed it around a few times.
  14. 6 acres, but most of it is wooded. I probably have a half acre or so that needs to be mowed.
  15. I am thinking about going with this one.
  16. Damn the new Snappers are just as pricey.
  17. Yeah they are pricier but nice mowers. Get what ya pay for. True statement.
  18. Time for a new mower. The Briggs & Stratton on my walk behind SP mower just threw a rod lol. Big hole in the side of the block and what looks like a bolt from the connecting rod/cap is laying on the mower deck. Any recommendations on a self propelled push mower? This one is a Snapper and worked fine for 7 years, outside of needing some carb cleaning.
  19. Euro has some showers on Thursday as well, mostly focused N-S from the bay to just west of I-95. Looks like there will be some rain associated with moist flow on the western side of the Atlantic high. Has a round of heavier showers on Friday, and then a line of convection on Saturday with what appears to be the actual front. Pretty juicy run overall. Widespread 1-2" +.
  20. There are also suggestions of the front slowing/stalling on guidance, so Saturday and possibly even Sunday could be on the humid side with more rain chances.
  21. Friday appears to be the better day for organized (severe?) storms with the front nearing. Looks like a true summer like day, with temps well into the 80s and high dews.
  22. I'm just sitting here listening to the Killers and drinking an EVO Lot No 3 IPA. Pretty awesome combo.
  23. That is an ideal look to keep the perpetual 90 and humid days at bay. Pretty impressive looking PNA ridge. I will take that look all summer.
  24. Yeah I am not talking a heatwave, just typical warmth relative to what we have had for weeks on end. Having 5-6 consecutive days in the 70s/80s does represent a legit change (warming) over the perpetual 60s we have seen, imo. It will also be noticeably humid beginning around midweek. The advertised h5 pattern going forward into early June actually looks great for us- "normal" warmth. No prolonged above normal temps in sight.
