  1. Yeah looks good through Jan, fwiw ofc.
  2. And we don't need super cold with the advertised h5 pattern. Lookin' good!
  3. Not super cold, but its in the right place, and at the right time of the winter.
  4. Cold and dry in winter. Disaster.
  5. DFH WWS is 17-18%, depending on the batch. High gravity is the way to go. Bang for the buck + high food value. eta- smooth af- no alcohol burn.
  6. 46 here. Was 51 earlier with a bit of sun. Spent 2 hours trying to fix the driveway before the next rain event. It's taken a beating. Effing sinking lol. Hope I can nurse it along until late Spring when hopefully it dries out a bit.
  7. Finally found this when I was on KI yesterday. So damn good. Drinking one now.
  8. Yeah I agree. I am sure there are a couple big dudes who were pass/punt/kick champs when they were teens. And yes it was fun. This beer is polished. Very good effort. I have tasted plenty of "home brews" and a lot of them miss the mark by a lot. I am guessing you have been there. Like anything else, takes time and experience, and mastering the subtleties. Speaking of which...try that RAR yet? I ain't subtle!
  9. This is cool stuff. Who can spot the Karman vortex street? I don't think any of the twitterers did. Love fluid mechanics. eta- after reading some of the latest replies, someone did. Impressed.
  10. Ok this is close enough. Finally seeing some outcomes that align with the h5 looks..
  11. Since the test was inconclusive, you would think If he tested negative 2 straight days he would be able to play Sunday. Not sure what the exact protocol is in that case.
  12. Same to you friend. The h5 looks are holding, and now at least we are seeing advertised rainers taking good tracks. Progress!
  13. The bigger concern would be the holder for extra points and FGs.
  14. @nw baltimore wx What's the abv on this? I would guess 9% or so.
  15. Met up with @nw baltimore wx at Terrapin Park on Kent Island yesterday. We drank some of his pumpkin ale out of red plastic cups, shootin' the shit across the bed of his truck. I don't think the people walking by probably thought we were sipping lemonade. Pretty sure I got the better end of the trade- a growler of the pumpkin ale for 3 RAR First Meal Stouts. Drinking some now. Pretty similar to the FD Fear. Might lean a tad towards a winter warmer. Good stuff!
  16. Ravens might not have a punter for the game on Sunday. If they are serious about the playoffs, they really shouldn't need to punt.
  17. I will be hanging out in here and drinking beer until my yard gets pummeled by digital snow on some random op run. Drooling over epic h5 looks with no cold air around has become uninteresting lol.
  18. Yeah mid month seems about right, but if we keep seeing the great looks on the ensembles by the 10th, that could move forward a bit. It would be more of a thread the needle deal with still marginal cold around.
  19. This might be about as negative as the NAO can get. The AO is also super negative at the end of that run.
  20. The trend is your friend on the EPS.
  21. It's better than 96 and 2009-10 how can it possibly disappoint?
  22. Not much to say that hasn't been said 100x at this point on the LR outlook. Outside of chasing freezing drizzle, mangled flakes, or a sleet pellet for extreme northern parts of the region in the short term, we are in wait and watch mode for awhile. Maybe something trackable pops up on guidance over the next few days as we move a bit closer to the sweeeeeet period we all know is imminent.
  23. Yeah it looks like the 'warmth' is a bit delayed from previous forecasts, probably after we dry slot. Just a bit of a disparity between the NAMs and the GFS though- GFS has 50s and even 60s(here) on Sat, NAM never gets the warmer air even to my yard, and keeps the area in the 40s.
  24. My post wasn't directed specifically at you. The point was we don't need a true arctic airmass in place(for the lowlands) leading up to an event in order to get a snowstorm. Moderate cold will work when the atmospheric setup is very favorable.
