  1. Me too, considering cold fronts only bring rain these days. Eh, same with storms. lol.
  2. He replaced one who had the same problem lol. The OL has been a mess all year honestly. This patchwork group got it together enough to become good at run blocking, but they are terrible at pass blocking- mostly the interior 3. Any defense that can bring pressure up the middle push them back into the QB on the reg. Buffalo is one of those teams.
  3. Well that's the offense they run, so not sure it is correct to say Jackson cant read defenses. I think a more accurate criticism is that as he goes through his progressions, sometimes he doesn't pull the trigger, or is a tad late. As for Roman, check out his history as an OC. Always bottom 5 in passing. If the Ravens want Lamar/the team to be more threatening in the passing game, they might consider another OC.
  4. Looks better on the 6z GEFS. The 0z run had it heading positive at the end of the run.
  5. It is a "normal" block though. All you are seeing there is a temporary coupling with the SER as the block retrogrades sw. The ridging there is ofc a function of the -PNA. This connection is brief, and then the ridge gets suppressed. Whether any ridging out in front is significant enough to have (negative)impacts on the evolving storm is unknown, but right now the answer seems to be no on the EPS.
  6. Yeah they made the commitment to him, and will likely sign him long term in the offseason. They need to give him the supporting cast to get the passing game to be more of a threat. The OL should be easy enough to fix in the offseason, but for whatever reason, the Ravens are awful drafting/developing a legit WR. They signed Boldin as a FA, and that helped them win a SB. Not sure who is available via trade or free agency, but they need to do what Buffalo did when they got Diggs. Look at the difference in Josh Allen this year. Night and day. Buffalo also did a great job implementing the short passing game- receiver screens etc, to help him be more efficient. Meanwhile, the Ravens are stuck with the severely overrated and unimaginative Greg Roman.
  7. Lamar's biggest weakness is throwing downfield to the outside consistently. Need to do that in the NFL. Ofc it helps to have a big bodied, physical receiver who can reliably make a contested catch. Ravens don't have one right now.
  8. Explain this in detail. If you cant, then you are just tossing out arbitrary bullshit to support a narrative. After last night, he now has 49 TD passes and 1 interception in the red zone. He can read.
  9. These people don't really watch the games. Get him an O-line that can pass block, and a legit receiver, like a Diggs, and he will be fine. With Stanley and Boyle back next season, the blocking will be better, but they need a true center and a guard that can replace Yanda. They patchworked it most of the year and made it work, but the biggest difference between this season and last was easily the drop off in O line play.
  10. That was an untimely pick, but it was the first one he has ever thrown in the red zone. He had thrown 49 red zone TD passes without an interception. Pretty impressive stat, and shows he makes the reads and executes an accurate throw a lot, on a short field, when it counts. He stared down Andrews, and didn't see the defender. Worst time to not execute, but I guess he was due. Someone needed to make a tackle though.
  11. Its amazing they played as well as they did down the stretch. The interior has been a mess all year. They somehow made it workable by rotating guys around, but overall they are terrible at pass blocking. And they have no true center. That last part is an understatement.
  12. The transfer is ideal on the mean. 2 very good runs in a row.
  13. That's too fancy for Roman.
  14. Need to get Dobbins more involved.
  15. That is literally the antithesis of a WAR. Pretty damn good look.
  16. 42 here. Legit cold front this was. I think it might get to 30 tonight. It was in the low 20s pretty much every night last week lol. 47 tomorrow. We need to do better going forward. I think we will. Finally.
  17. The transfer is pretty much perfect, and the flow is from the NE between the HP over Canada and the 50-50 low. The cold stays locked in. Now it may not play out that way in reality, but that's how it goes down this run, and its exactly what I want to see.
  18. I remember the first storm in Feb the temp was 36 when the first flakes started to fall. In a more typical setup, that would be rain in no time. But with the blocking pattern and the surface features right where we want them, the temp quickly fell to freezing, then into the mid 20s within a couple hours with heavy snow. Dynamical cooling works, but evaporational cooling is more effective.
  19. Drinking one of these. Pretty darn good.
  20. So don't buy it. We are analyzing the runs though, because that's the point of this thread.
  21. Kind of self explanatory. The high pressure is where we want it, the low is off the Maritimes where we want it. No ridge in the WA. Cold/dry air draining down in front of the storm. Evap cooling is a beautiful thing.
