  1. I picked up a new arrival from Black Flag today. Chocolate Land Vol 3 Imperial stout. Another winner from BF!
  2. Well that certainly is a tad different than a 120! Looks quite good though. Next time, go yourself, and get the 120.
  3. I am all in for something, but that is not an exciting look to me at all. I see a broad vorticity lobe and not a sharp shortwave. That wont get much done at the surface in our region. I suppose there is plenty of time for it to evolve into something entirely different though.
  4. Drinking a 120, and I scroll down and see that shit. I actually think I could eat some of that and take a sip of this and not even flinch. Not sure if compliment is the right word, but this beer can cut through anything.
  5. I wont crap up the discussion threads but I will say this in banter- I would love a 2 week sunny and dry stretch, regardless of the temperatures. Sure I will take a random March snow event, but it isn't going to change my feelings about this winter. It is no better than a C.
  6. It is also about time to lift the international travel restrictions for the masses. There are enough exceptions to the "bans' that every variant of the virus ends up here anyway, so what's the point? Test, mask up, and quarantine if required.
  7. I am teaching "conventional" in person classes here in MD, where students travel from all over the country to come here, and we follow the accepted and proven protocols- including testing, social distancing, and masking up in the classroom, and have had no issues. Granted we have smaller classes, so it is more conducive to keeping students 6+ feet apart, etc, but there is also potentially more risk by bringing students here from all parts of the US. We are a year into this thing now, so it is not like we don't have a clue how to deal with it at this point. The difference is I teach professionals in the maritime industry, and not a bunch of kids. That being said, it clearly can work with minimal risk by implementing effective control measures.
  8. I ninja'd all of you as I posted about it this time yesterday lol. The late next week period is still a semi interesting look as advertised on the means. Really the only period with any potential in sight.
  9. Time for a March LR discussion thread? lookin' lamby.
  10. It seems a like an odd combo of flavors, but it all works. Very good.
  11. The pattern is a mild one. Pretty much straight up crap over the next several days. Realistically, outside of some mangled flakes mixed in with some rain for NW areas, there is no significant winter weather in the offing for at least another week.
  12. Are you trolling? Control run is weenie wet dream garbage- when it shows something "good". And it really doesn't for any place that matters lol.
  13. Never get many over here. They don't like the soil apparently.
  14. Have the frozen highlands of northern Carroll hit 32 yet?
  15. Amish stone mason did an amazing job on the fireplace, and I did the pathway with the leftover stone. Worked out well.
  16. Might look pathetic in comparison the the northern tier mountain folk yards, but even after moderate to heavy rain and temps in the mid 30s yesterday the glacier is still holding on. Getting thin though.
  17. This might be worth keeping an eye on. The wave looks to dampen as it moves east(when have we seen that before lol) but there is a little something showing up on the GEFS. That trough over the NE is on the move so with some timing maybe there is just enough(and not too much) confluence for it to work.
  18. I need to move to Canaan so I can giggle when Mt Manchester cracks 50 in late Feb.
  19. 38.992238, -75.854096 Don't come for me. I have knives and shit.
  20. I feel like I have missed some shit today. Just got home and given all the rain, I am surprised how much glacier cover I still have here. My yard is the local flatland equivalent to Mount PSU. Anyway it rained it ass off today, but I never bothered to clean the glacier out of my rain gauge so it reads 0.00. I will have to check some local reports.
  21. Probably a bit of snow or snow/rain mix before changing to rain over here. I am in Easton, so might not see any snow here.
  22. That's what happens with a low to the NW and a high to the east. You will be ok out there. That strong sw flow aloft is partly responsible for giving you those nice dendrites.
  23. I don't care for the look on the means, but I suppose it could improve. Again the synoptic setup as advertised is pretty hostile for eastern portions of the region.
