The operational GFS has lost storms frequently. The icon and GFS losing this at this time-frame is not untypical. The verdict is still out. WX/PT

it's tough to bet agaisnt the euro

GFS is adios, shocker. Gonna be the theme rest of 00Z i suspect. Hopefully tom. is better, but i wouldn't push any chips in on that.

Theres been hardly a true rain storm, stem winder with 50s and 60s spiking up through new england that we see so often each winter. Kinda been more like 2015 than anything with a lot of cold and no real rainers.

It has been an odd season. We’ve had clippers and solid SWFEs and I don’t think any true cutters, but coastals have not been easy to come by, at all. I do think the easing of the Arctic press and ridging out west helps increase the odds of something popping close enough, but still, nothing coming easy.

Unfortunately that's the tenor of the winter. Storms just get shredded in the fast flow. Too many vorts flying around

GFS doesn't have a storm lol am i missing something

Almost 2" qpf on ai GFS. An I wouldn't call one run a trend either

as long as we have euro ai on our side we'll have a storm. Regular euro is equivalent to canadian maybe, not great! It used to be the best but there was a upgrade several years ago and ever since it's done pretty bad but this year it has been horrendous!
